Verticle growth with no foliage

At the moment I have a plant that has grown to about 4" but really hasn't grown any foliage since it first poked through the soil. Someone on another thread said I hould bury the stem so that theres basically just the leave and a little stem up top. I had this plant by the window for about 6 days but now have lights so the plant shouldn't do so much reaching. I have no reason not to beleieve this person but its always nice to have a second opinion or for someone to confirm this b4 going ahead with it.

How far away are your lights? What kind of light? Your light should be right over the top of it. If it's High intensity you should be able to put your hand in between the light and your plant without feeling like it's burning your hand.

if stem is to long bury it. you can even scrape the stem with a sterilized razor blade and cover in cloning gel to promote root growth on length of stem buried. Good luck :joint::joint:

I believe it grew like that because my lights cam in a little later then I thought they would have. After germination I put the sprout into the soil and it was at my patio window from May 7 untill earlier today. Now I have a 42W 2850 Lumens and a 23W 1660 Lumens CFL both 6500K. They are both placed aprox 2" above the plant. I do have another 23W CFL and two 20W CFL which I picked up today but noticed they are 3500K when I got home. I was wondering if I should add any other lights at the moment and should I return the 3500K and get a 2700K and and use that now as well or just stick with the 6500K untill flowering?

I actually just transplanted it into a bigger plant pot with great soil, vermiculite, and gave it some water and nutes. I also barried most of the stock so I hope it turns out ok. How much water should I have given it now that its been transplanted? I put 500ml in but just over half of that was put in when the container was about 2/3 full of soil. Again, not sure if that was what I should have done so I hope its ok.

Hopefully I can find my camera charger so I can take some pics to show you a visual.

Thanks for the help!
