Just something I’m trying, because I heard a botanist talking about it on Cannabis Cultivation and Science podcast-
Not taking the dying leaves off unless they are obstructing light/airflow, or are molding.
The reason being is that it’s not that the leaf is sucking nutes from the plant to stop from dying, the leaves are feeding their nutes back into the plant as they wither and fall off.
I’d have to look for who this “scientist” was and which episode, but he seemed astonished- a little annoyed even- that (often) pot growers defoliate so much, haha.
In the end, clip those yellow fan leaves or don’t, but right now doesn’t seem a big issue. I’m no expert.
But try out things that work for you. I’m always learning new things here, and sometimes I just like to hear about trials and results from regular folks here.
