Why in the world would you be doing a grow at a friend's house? First of all, if your friend medicates...you are growing their weed as well. Can yo be absolutely sure your friend will not be tempted to 'help' you grow? Too many chef's will spoil the soup as the saying goes. BUT, what would concern me most is that for every person that knows you are growing...your chance of being discovered by law enforcement authorities increases 20% (statistically speaking) so if 5 people know, I hope your friend looks good in orange! Their home, their garden as far as the cops know, right? Are you willing to step up and take the charge as well? Also, if something happens to your friend OR your friendship you could be S.O.L.
So unless you have a great and valid reason you cannot grow in your own home, and IMHO 'paranoia' does not count. Unless you are a clinically diagnosed paranoid personality. If that is the case and you use cannabis as a method of treatment, I think that is awesome! But I feel you should still responsible for your garden. These days anyone growing the world's most misunderstood and feared plant in a neo-Nazi fascist regime government, is at risk of being put in a privately owned jail.

Growing at a friends is a huge problem. I grew weed with a kid I knew since I was born and best friend since it was 12. This was like 2-3 years ago my first grow I had the genius idea to grow at this kids house but then I caught on so I sold what I could of the plants and stole his bongs and let him keep the plant he didn't know how to grow. He didn't get any weed but neither did I. To this day it's a nonstop back and forth fight with the kid. It's rediculous I look back at those plants and I'm like wow, someone stole those shitty things. But he still disrespected me a lot so I disrespect him a lot and I don't think that's ever gunna end. Then I can tell you about the other time I grew with a different "friend" and I had to steal the plants back. Grow it yourself.
What would this person get out of letting you grow at their house? You think they are gunna take that risk for you when you won't even take it for yourself? Then if things do work out which they rarely do you only get half or whatever you agreed on, and you probably won't get much not being there to take care of them. How well do you trust this person?

There are 4 people who know what I have in the tent in my room...me, myself, I, and God. And, I don't know that I completely trust any of us! LOL!!!!!!
Well we just started growing this winter I don't have the space for an indoor set up right now so it was our only choice And considering we both have our medical cards there's no need for me to be paranoid about police or anything like that. we haven't had a problem yet I make sure I'm not getting ripped off believe me lol. This will probably be our last run indoor this year anyways. Should have plenty of space for my indoor set up come next winter. But yeah anyways I'm thinking The issue was the cal mag.....OOPS NOW I see a problem!

I understand what your saying tho believe me I don't want to do this with anyone but myself. another reason I went in with a friend was start up costs this is only my second grow ever I didn't wanna dump a bunch of money and try to grow and figure out that it's not for me but I pulled 2oz per plant on my first run ever so I think now that know I can do it. I'll have no problem investing money into this all on my own. Definitely didn't like the fact that I had to split the meds at the end lollll

Yeah I'm very thankful that I aM one of the lucky ones.. Definitely can't wait to be solo tho because it's mainly me that has the knowledge I put in countless hours of research and it shows compared to my partner I basically tell him what to do every day and he still asks me "so how do we start budding" this will definitely be my last run with him lmao

I would ignore all these negative Nancy's. Typically it is wisest to have a friend go halfs in on one with you, due to the demands of having to be there when the plants need you and due to the effect of a team effort. While I make a sauce, my roomie is spraying neem or sweeping. We got full time jobs, it only makes sense. Anyhow, you were asking a question about plant health, so all these people who have no idea about your circumstances are not even helping you. You know what risks you are up against or you wouldn't be spending all this money to grow. Fuck, I could only imagine if I didn't have my homies to help me with construction and transplanting. Anyway, your plants look gorgeous! A bit on the dark side, which suggests nitrogen abundance. They don't look N toxic though, so you should be good if you go half or even quarter strength with your nutrient line on the next watering and they should start lime greening, where you want them to be. If youre worried about the SLIGHT yellowing tops, spray some kelp foliar and watch that immobile iron assimilate. I dont want to steer you wrong, but a proper dosage of kelp typically only does wonders for your ladies. Otherwise, they look better than mine do right now. If you start noticing the tips of fan leaves start bending down and folding in, then you know you went too far with the nutes (too much N. Watch for that, homie. Youre a bit on the opposite spectrum of an N deficiency, so you should only see some good come out of lighter nutes on the next feeding. Keep doing what you're doing, great job!

LOL! If you are used to people doing weird and questionable things and then frantically try to save them...you came to the right cannabis forum! Some people come here asking how much of their own urine should they should feed, they want to know how many pounds they can get in a cardboard box with 2 incandescent bulbs, they find some old bagseed in the cushions of an abandoned couch and try to grow it out and then wanting to know what strain the seedling is! They suggest that putting a bowl of water in a tent is a good way to raise rh, and at the same time create a fungus gnat infestation...it goes on and on...some of it is HILARIOUS, some of it makes you want to cry seeing the abuse mother ganja's babies are suffering.
But, have good faith...there are huge numbers of knowledgeable growers that have come and gone from RIU some of them over a decade or more...their freely given insight is still here. And when a new grower comes in and is asking specific and intelligent questions, it shows they have done some study on their own. and there are a ton of good folks here to help them get unstuck.

Well, I should let 10 of my buddies grow with me, then I can have a huge grow op and do huge amounts of weed. Oh, I hope one of them doesn't tell any girlfriends that may get pissed at them...Busted! A friend that tells someone who they think is 'cool' and then gets robbed for all your shit...Fucked over! One of my friends decides to 'recondition' all of your ballasts and had no clue what he was doing...Homeless! And let's not forget the ever popular...Well it does not look like they have been watered so I will water them...and multiple people adds water at different times and some will feed as well Dead Plants!
Nope, I think I will just grow the medicine I need and not invite hassles into my life. But to each their own
By the way the words you gave to the OP are spot on...you apparently know cultivation.

Omg, did this happen to you? I could only imagine. My best friend whom I had kicked out 6 months prior came by one day running from the cops and this got my house raided. That ended my career and now I don't do dealing like I was at the time. Just a happy med patient now. But when it comes to my grow, I am the leader and I take responsibility for making the recipes and watering. I do not let anyone touch any buttons whatsoever. But it's nice to have someone help you mount insulation on the ceiling of your garage, help you trim and all that. Sometimes I forget that there are a lot of people on here that are in States where if the cops find out, they will ruin your life , even for a measly 6 plants. I love Cali!
