Before doing anything drastic just take notice that some plants use more water than others, depends on the strain. Even if you have multiple plants of the same genetic, the phenotype can differ. Just give it water when it needs, not all of them are the same my friend. As long as it's leaves are healthy and it looks good, then you good, dont complicate things.
Yeah. It's best to just let it dry the medium out in it's own. Patience.

Well- now we wait! I was sure this clog wouldnt resolves on its own because it has been so many days and no sign of moisture leaving. So today I decided to try and save her by holding her gently upside down and sliding the pot off. Sure enough- in the four drainage holes that have a bit of a cavity was all packed in soil. I got rid of those 4 clumps as gently as possible so as not to disturb the roots to much. The roots didnt yet smell rotten or anything, so I think Minerva has a chance! ;).

Unless I somehow manage to kill them all- which since I have gotten them this far, im thinking I *probably wont*- but there is always the chance of me f-ing this up since im a total noob! ;)

Did you top or fim yet? Or may need to trim these for bigger yields and trim focus energy on parts you really need not like the fan leaves ( bigger l of energy to grow them no need. Nvm all ready in flower period but you can still trim for bigger yield's

Yes! I actually have been reading a lot. There is so much good info out there :). I did top my plants (all but one- because i wanted t have something of a control plant to see if there is an appreciable yield difference ) and they bushed out pretty nicely. I only did it once though and i know some do it multiple times...

One other question... I know that each strain takes a varying amount of time to fully mature before harvest and that when X% of trichomes are cloudy and the same for pistils curling up and turning color... But when it comes to knowing when to start the 2 week flush prior to that- how do you tell you are about 2 weeks out? Is there another percentage to look for on those pistils and trichomes that tell you you are close? Like maybe 50/50?

Thanks for all the tips and advice guys- I appreciate it!

I top at the second internode and then again just before I flip so that the branches thicken up.

I don't flush and imo there is no point in flushing and may even be detrimental to your plant, but if you want to go with the normal paradigm then if you are aiming for little to no amber start flushing when the hairs have just started to recede and the trichs should be about 70/30 cloudy and clear, if you want a lot of amber then don't start till the hairs have all receded and you should see all milky white, a few will still be clear but nearly all white, and you should wait till you see that first hint of amber, 2 weeks later you should be looking at 30-50% amber.

Thanks for the info :). A lot of what I have read insists that flushing is important to get the nutes out because they can affect the taste. Since I have 8 plants maybe I will do a little experiment and flush only some to see if it alters the taste... This growing stuff is fun :)

My buds taste great, that's what I mean there's no point, I think they need nutes right up till the end and by flushing you rob them of needed nutrients. Just my opinion, try it out and see for yourself, if you don't notice any difference in taste then why.not feed them till harvest.

So update...The first pic is two days ago the next ones are today and I must say my baby is looking strong and had a growth spurt lol....The white powder is a little D Earth had one or two gnats not sure if it was from the Pot. One newb question does this look like sativa or indica? Also does it look wet enough I settled on a pint of water every two or three days its a 1 gallon pot

View attachment 3516865 Hey Everyone :)

Doing my first grow now. Started with 8 bag seed from some really nice stuff. Thought I would end up with 4 at best- so planted them all thinking that should get me some plants... Well it did- 8 female plants! I am in week 2 of flowering. Any advice is welcome.View attachment 3516859View attachment 3516860 View attachment 3516859
I'm no expert but that looks to me like sativa lots of growth in them, hope you have the room!

Leaves look long and pointy not short and stocky.

Here is a quick update pic on my octuplets ;) This is a close up of some of Glinda's bud sights. And I am happy to report that my poor drowning Minerva is now draining properly and is looking quite happy!image.jpg

Nice and green, healthy looking plants :)
Thanks! They seem to all be doing well and I think they are finally just focused on filling put rather than getting taller.... Which is good- because my space is running out!

I do have one question. If you look at the big fan leaf on the left side of the photo you will see some red coloration right where the stem meets the fan leaf. Is this a problem starting?

Boy this process is an exercise in patience! I am hoping to harvest sometime around Thanksgiving. Should make for a very green Christmas! Minerva has bounced back and is budding like crazy! I don't know if it makes a real difference, but I also hung one obtuse "Exhale" CO2 releasing bags. Hopefully it will help- but honestly I don't have a way to measure the CO2 so we shall see!image.jpeg image.jpeg
