At the next watering, hold up the pot and make sure the water flows out the bottom within I dunno...you should probably see something come out the bottom within ten seconds. It's one of those things where a little experience helps. Like if I'm watering a solo cup, I might pour in a half of a solo cup with water and I'll get roughly half of what I put in, back out. I had some drainage problems in solo cups this spring where I didn't poke big enough holes in them and I put in a half solo cup of water and only a few drops were trickling out, I knew something was wrong. So, I'm kind of banking on a little of your own experience to know what looks right coming out the bottom. And if the pots are sitting in a tray, make sure the tray isn't holding any water.
