Video Game Addiction-Need Help, serious addiction

Seriously if you got a girl go play with her titties or summat, dammit get off the damn computer and go do something else!

I just dont want to see you turn into a syco and kill your dog because he shitted on your keyboard. You need to get away from those online type WOW games.

Seriously you think the people who make those games sit and play them? Nooooo, while your giving them real money for fake money to buy fake stuff, their out getting smashed and getting escorts and some other wild shit. Dont let them!

Do it yourself instead. ;)

sounds like you're into the type of games that can't be beat. the stupidest type of game if you ask me.

MMO's are money pits.

there's no real way to go about it. you can't play anymore. it's your own fault for letting it get out of control in the first place.

you could try to schedule... a good device is a timer that limits the amount of time a machine can be turned on. it even beeps 5 mins before.

it locks into the plug with a key. set the timer for 1-2 hrs per day. lock the plug into it, and give the key to a friend you don't see too often....

your an addict, and you'll just find another power chord for your PC probably......

I was an EQ "addict". 500+days played on my necro alone. GNOMERCY!

EQ actually just had a free 10 days for returning players and they started 2 new classic progressive servers. Lotsa fun but it ended and they want me to pay to play now. I am tempted but have better things to do now.

I have a buddy who has been addicted to EQ/EQ2 since 1999 when I got him hooked. heh He lost his wife kids house cars jobs places to stay jobs time jobs wife kids jobs. He wouldn't go to work because he was playing all night and I would keep telling him, if you do not pay you can not play. This dude got so bad that he was homeless at one point but had a job and he would sleep in his car and use his laptop outback of his work because he could use their wireless. The funniest part about it is he was bragging about it telling me how fast his connection was while I am sitting in my warm comfy house with my loving family but I only have dsl. lol His new thing is a game called RIFT. He bought the super version fo the game and paid ahead 6 months to play. I played in the beta with him a couple times but I told him it was boring and I think he agreed but he doesnt want to admit it because he paid ahead 6 months. lol

Also when your family leaves you, you usually end up paying child support. Child support with no job in Massachusetts is a bad bad thing. They go right after the deadbeat dads. Ask my buddy, he went into the clink twice so far for not paying, first time 30 days 2nd time 90 days because he did a crazy laugh at his ex and pissed off the judge. Dude gets out and then right back onto EQ. So sad and he is a good friend. I kinda feel bad because I got him hooked.

I leave my psp next to the shitter. lol Tetris on the psp rocks. A couple times the wife had to knock to see if I was ok.

you were on a pvp server?honestly there will never be another game like EQ/DAoC
... EQ will prolly never be like EQ ever again lmao...world of warcraft doesnt even come close.

I used to be addicted to diablo2 and I heard there is a 3rd version coming out sometime. I might get it but I can't get wrapped up in playing often. I also was addicted to this game called guild wars LOL. Sorry, I laugh at myself because I am such a loser & nerd. Anyways, I was addicted to guild wars for a while and the other day I was bored so I downloaded it and went into my old account and it was so boring, I had nothing to do, no friends, so I quit. I think I beat the addiction. Either that or that game is really boring. I am sure I won't like the new diablo when it comes out. I don't like Oblivion, I only like games with online playing. I think I grew out of my game addiction. My fiance has bought me a bunch of games for xbox so I can play but I havven't gotten into any of them. I was thinking about getting the new dead space, that looks like fun and I liked the original but not sure if I would sped my time playing it..

I used to also be addicted to UT.

Nope I was on Eci. I did have a toon on zek for the days Eci was down. heh I agree though on never finding another game. :(

Man that's exactly how I stopped spending so much time playing games too. My computer was getting a bit old and needed to be upgraded but money was tight, so I bought a console (360) for the price of a new graphics card... I play a lot of games still but it's in-between times when I'm doing other things. Nothing like the marathon playing of RPG and MMO games on the computer... the games on the console are just more shallow in nature or something and rarely hold my attention for too long.

I have not had steady job for the past 7 months so yes, i like to play with my xbox and smoke by stash when i have it. skate 3 is one of my top favs. at the moment.
