vinyl sheet 4 flood tray?

Cant find anything on it but I can get a 9x12 sheet for 30$ and some 2x4 for 10$ and just squeeze the vinyl between 2 lengths and roll up between the 2x4s and hammer them to the floor.

I found the answer vinyl will work fine.

sounds like it should be water tight. might wanna make sure its kinda thick because it would be a shitty mess if you got a hole

I feel it I've been at this a long time and kinda asked a dumb question bit really somebody should have known, I've never looked into what "flooring" is but the. Again out of all the traffic here I'm sure plenty have. Its too much of a popularity contest round here.

Yeah it is lol, not really too bad it's a dtw setup Topfeed coco I'll probably still keep trays under the plants, but its just to redirect the water to a drain that will drain to basement, not to actually flood.

That and I will probably still line it with b/w plastic

Check swimming pool suppliers. There are many great fitting used in lined swimming pools that could possibly help you make easy, water tight connections for you drain.

I had thought about that, but enough silicone should cover that. I probably will at some future point but it's just Necessary to be installed now while it's dripping on my bed and desk lol

On some real talk @dbkick I was brainstorming ideas on creating a magizine earlier. The quality and information in high times just sucks. The writing is poor and unimaginative and repetitive, then on top of that it's 75% advertiment.

I would be careful with what plastic you use. If this is a permanent setup, eventually the lighting, especially if you are using hids, can deteriorate the plastic and it will become very brittle over a time. Had panda film that just getting touch and your hand would blow right through from years of hid light exposure.

I had thought about uv afterm having to do an little research on vinyl to answer initial question, but from the get go I knew I wold mot be able to get a brilliant white, so I planned on covering it in panda plastic and replacing every few months like I've been doing. It will only add to the water proofing, protect the vinyl and refleck better

My thoughts on permanent vs disposable. I leaned towards disposable.

Say for example I buy nice vinyl and it last a long time, but one day it tears. It's a lot of work if it's installed permanently.

But if the cheap shit lasts a year, and only costs me 30 it's worth it. If it doesn't even last a month I'll just buy thicker better vinyl. Till i find the perfect trade off of durablity vs. Cost, and if it's not installed permanently, I save money or time on installation, and because eventually unless your floor is acrylics, it will fail.

Lowes actually sells liners with raised edges, I got a 12x18 for $2.50, and I think they even have 9x12

There are membrane roofing products on the market that have UV protection built right in.
