Vipar V300 IR LED Herijuana & Purple Kush grow

Upon further inspection I decided to take down the BLZ Bud today. They are done. Last time I grew it I only let it go for 9 weeks anyway :


before the chop.jpg day 66 and down they come. Blz Bud hanging.jpg now hanging to dry alongside the sugar punch. I have been pleasantly surprised by the BLZ Bud. I thought it would be my least yielding plant but it has filled out nicely and its got quite a dense buddage on it.
So that leaves the NL#5 x Haze on its lonesome in the box. That's got some donkey dicks on it :

Ok. The second bud I salvaged from the sugar punch is now dry and it came to 8.5 grams. Together with the first bud that was 4.2 grams this comes to 12.7 grams total, and I estimate I threw away 5 or 6 grams of mouldy bud. Should be interesting to see what the rest of the plant comes to as there is still a good amount of top buds on it.
 
trim.jpg After a couple hours trimming I still have these left to do. Again I have to say I am really surprised by the BLZ Bud. The density and uniformity of the buds are amazing and its actually a toss up at this stage which is going to yield more between it and the sugar punch.
I de-stemmed and trimmed both today and put the buds in paper bags to dry out. The BLZ Bud has taken on a silverfish purple tinge to it, and it cures into a dark brown. Wicked smoke and kind of reminds me of old school thai. Will be growing it again for sure. Got nicely mashed on some finger hash.
 
Right. The results are in for both the sugar punch and the BLZ Bud. Still waiting for the NL#5 x Haze to finish drying.
The sugar punch altogether weighed in at 49.6 grams and the BLZ Bud dry weight came to 55.4 grams.

Very nice run aphrodisia, that looks like top shelf bud, looks dense/tight, what are you expecting from the NL#5 x Haze?

Hi GroErr, yes I was very surprised at the final weights, especially for the BLZ Bud which started out really skinny In flower. Considering I had to throw out around 5 or 6 grams mouldy sugar punch the two weighed roughly the same. The NL/Haze is nearly double their size so I hesitate to guess what its going to weigh. I would say probably at least 84 grams ?
 
Nice, the total's not a record but quite respectable and it looks like very nice bud, quality vs. quantity anytime.

Thanks mate. The more light the better is the secret. 430w total in a 2ft x 2ft space. If the NL#5/Haze yields as much as Im hoping I wouldn't need to do any more growing for a while. They are quality buds, both the sugar punch and BLZ are nice potent smokes. I have never tried the NL/Haze but I have heard good things about it as well. Got to let them cure for a few weeks now before sampling them.
 
The NL#5 x Haze is now dry and came to 76.6 grams dry weight.

To recap, sugar punch came in at 49.6 grams, BLZ Bud at 55.4 grams and the NL#5/Haze at 76.6 grams making a total of 181.6 grams or 6.49 ounces. Best yield I have had out of this box and that's me done growing for this year.

Thanks GroErr, Im well happy with the results of this run. Have to get myself a proper grow tent for the coming year though. All the best with your LEC sun systems grow.

I think its a good quality LED at 200 actual watts. I will probably end up buying another Vipar after all, they have a 500w 5w chip LED currently on ebay which Im very tempted by. Nothing beats growing your own for quality smoke.

Hey aphro! So I just added 2 400w Mars 2 led's to my 1k watt hps grow. The veg is something kinda fierce with this mixed spectrum, I can't wait to see what flower does!

Hi Serial-Stoner, surprised anyone is still posting to this thread I thought it was long dead. Good to see you got yourself a Mars II 400w, after reading a lot of good things about them I too got myself a Mars II 700w light with the 5w chips but I haven't got round to using it just yet.
