As a budget grower I'm going to say vipar would be more friendly to the wallet and their specs are impressive for the price.

Indeed.On my Scorpion Diablo it says “Made in USA with domestic and global parts”
So even if a light is “made in USA” it’s probably simply assembled in the USA with some foreign parts.
