Viparspectra V450 VS. Mars Hydro TS1000 - which one to choose for flowering?

2x 400 watt lights in a 3x3 tent would be overkill, and hard to control the heat.plus fitting 2 aircooled hoods in that space would be tight.
it would make more sense just to put 1 600 watter in there at most.

Thanks for pointing out the obvious.

I was talking about how I could control the heat from 2x400w in my area if I chose to.

I used to use a 600w but dialed down my area to what I want to use.

Thanks for the insight. Which I already knew. It was more for what can be achieved with the correct ventilation design.

Also my current active growing area is 3x3.

My available area is 7x3x8.

I choose to use 3x3 to dissipate the heat better as I use an open reflector, with over sized fan and filter combo to be able to control the speed and temp with my controller.

If I used all of my area I would be able to actually use 2x600w aircooled if I wanted to and still control the heat via a independent aircooled system. Where no grow room air passed through the lighting rig.

I choose 3x3 because it grows all the bud I need for personal use.

Pics are around day 35 of 12/12.

hey jondamon I'm not sure if you've looked into them but the hlg quantum 288 rspec boards are sweet. They cost alot but you get what you pay for

https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/kits they're alot cheaper if you get a kit then assemble yourself

I have my eyes set on the 600w v2 rspec kit.. I could fit that in my 2x4 and dim it down a bunch( you need to add a pot dimmer yourself) or be able to use it in my 5x5 with maybe a few side lights. I have a few mars lights and I regret buying them-- they work but they aren't the best :)

but if I wasn't going with the quantum boards-- I would go with the 315 CMH like others have recommended. I have heard great things about the Dual Ended CMH's and HPS's

The mars new version not works bad from i see, the ts3000 newer light with 5*5ft footprint, that one i and my guys hoped to try, it said already available in US now, i may add one, i like its price and spectrum, i never want to go back with hps or hid or any cmh now.

Bill's videos are great. A lot of people that create tutorial / review videos will spend the first half of the video rambling on about what's going on in their tent before addressing the purpose of the video. Bill always seems to get right to the point.

Inevitable!
However, just got a Quantum Board Kit from HTG. V1 kits deeply discounted right now. Boards sure are changing everything!
