VIPARSPECTRA???

I must say even though I’m a noob to roll it up, I’m not to forums so here goes:

I can agree with everyone that there are better more advanced options than viparspectra, that I can agree with

But how can some of you say they cannot grow weed, when people post pics and experiences where they’ve clearly grown weed lol even on amazon, people have posted pics of their harvests in the review section and the lights have great ratings.

Is it the best bud? No, no one here has the best bud unless you’re growing in hydro.

Viparspectra makes bud, I’m staring at mine right now. They’re big, they’re fat, pics will come eventually after harvest.

Is it the best bud? No. Does it make bud? Yes.

If you can’t agree with that last statement, you’re seriously just a hater, but try and meet me half way so we can all get along.

Seriously guys the Viparspectra are rubbish.

Yes, they will produce bud but you would get better production & equal efficiency using an HPS. The fact that you bought one does not make you a dumb ass. No-one is saying that.

Lots of us started of with cheap shitty badly designed LED’s. I had a 200w blurple Prakasa LED a long time ago. That also produced bud but was essentially not very good. I wish at the time there were more options around & more people on forums who could have told me that the Blurple LED I had picked was pants & point me on the right direction. As it was at that point in time there were only blurple LED grow lights on the market so there were no other LED options. Did I then advertise my poor choice in purchase by starting a thread on a forum saying yeah, they are not that great but fantastic for first time buyers!
No needless to say I kept that one under my hat out of embarrassment & went back to HPS. I am now back on LED’s but more efficient LED’s.

If you have no experience with growing/LED grow lights & you buy a Viparspectra its not the end of the world (although you should have done your research before pulling the trigger) but you shouldn’t be trying to save face by making out that its publicly acceptable/normalize first time buyers buying a Viparspectra light. That’s just leading people down the same wrong path you went down & it’s also free advertising for a company that really does not deserve free advertising.

They make all sorts of claims on their website about their vastly inferior LED lights which simply mislead people who know no better.

You’re essentially saying its ok for 1st time LED grow light buyers to start with Viparspectra which really is not the case. As stated its not the end of the world if someone does do this but to then start a thread that essentially encourages people to make the same mistakes as you is f’d up. You screwed up so you are helping other people make the same screw up as you & in the process further lining Viparspectra’s pockets! Are you thick or just an employee of Viparspectra.

As a first-time buyer would you want someone to point you towards a lemon just because that’s what most of the first-time buyers ended up with or would you want someone to point you towards the best in class LED presently available on the market in your price range?

You bought a Viparspectra not the end of the world. Just have the good grace to not air your dirty laundry in pubic making out that it’s all summer fresh when its blatantly not.

Who said it’s summer fresh? I said it’s good bud, didn’t say great lol why write that big paragraph story.

When I’m ready I’ll get something else.

Dude I think I explained it all in the big paragraph.

Sorry I didn’t mean to come across as a dick but I appear to have been a bit tetchy this morning. That said everything I said was technically on point.

This thread has been going on since January & I would hope that we all at this point understand that Viparspectra’s should not be recommended to anyone at any level, unless you don’t like them that is.

Worst light ive bought was a Viparspectra 900 Reflector series.
Good luck claiming warranty too.
True story.

Dont get me wrong.
It grows colas. But for just a little more.......
Hell even a cheap 400watt hps way outperforms. I saw it myself. 600watts is murder.

If LED people must have. Save 1-200 more. Buy something better.

You guys are missing the point. Viparspectra does grow bud. Any light will grow bud. For 100$ more you could have easily maximized your lighting potential. You asked the question and got the responses. People don't like them. You guys do because they are growing bud. You're happy with what you get. When you actually try for more you will need more. You should also be running both Bloom and Veg switched or all dimmers to 100% during veg and flower. There is too much blue otherwise
I do run all 3 spectrums 24/7

Even for the same price there are better lights, you wouldn't even need to step up. Tbh, viparspectra is pretty expensive, mars hydro and meizhi are a better choice for a blurple light at half the price.
Hi,
I think this is quite a funny post.

Before purchasing the first Viparspectra 600W Reflector Series I of course did some research and on youtube alone you can find quite a few comparison videos of how these lights perform. Viparspectra beat all competition in this price range. I have my second 600W Reflector Series running since a few days. I wonder where all the distest for Viparspectra comes from.. really.. and yes I get the point that COB is the more efficient LED Light.

I started out with meizhi and vipar.. they did just fine! Sure they won't touch a QB or cob but for what you're paying they are great little lights! The bud in my picture was grown under a little vipar 300 (135w)
They definitely don't deserve the hate they Get!

I am curious about these quantum boards..
tried to do some research earlier and of course read some things on reddit and here.. but if you put: best grow lights 2018 into google, there is no mention of them anywhere (other then ViparSpectra which can be found in almost all top10 lists and I personally can not believe they are all paid... people even say the high times recommendation is paid advertisement not even considering that the magazine has some kind of reputation on the line)

other things I found about the quantum boards are that people use them only for veg.. others say they get 2grams per watt. But how many quantum boards in how many different colours do I need to fill out 1m²? I dont know.. I am no expert on lighting or growing but I have the feeling there is some catch to it. I will keep researching and maybe I will soon replace my 2 ViparSpectra 600W reflectors for my 2m² grow with quantum boards but for now I am not convinced. Makes me skeptical that nobody offers these lights... and the lights that are built into the quantum boards, if you research them as grow lights (Samsung 561C bin Diodes) growers report they are not suitable for growing/flowering.. not sure what to make of that either. Pretty hot topic but I guess anything goes..

@Bro above me,
nice bud :D what strain is it?

I grew Jacky White in my last 4 runs and am now giving royal queen seeds (critical, royal cheese, bubble kush and og kush) a try

Have a nice day

All depends on the spectrum of your board.
3000k = good flowering but won't be too great for veg (it will veg but your plants will end up tall and lanky)
3500k = good middle ground for flower and veg
4000k = good for veg but not great for flower

They go higher and lower but you get the idea.

Trust me they wipe the floor with "blurples" like meizhi and viparspectra! And that's coming from a fan of those brands..
Only go for blurple if you absolutely can't afford quantum boards

Most of those reviews list crap blurple lights as the best... cough, choke, puke. If you want reviews from people that know what they are doing.... you've come to the right place.

Who says QBs are only for vege?

Anyone that says Samsung LM561C are not suitable for growing is a liar or clueless!

Have you looked at any of the grows here with QB's or Samsung strips?

Mythbuster #2:

Truth is there really just isn't a huge difference between them - some difference, yes but not a lot.

very nice plant, the second.

Another thing I am curious about.. why do you people (almost everyone I see on here) prefer big plants to many small ones? I mean.. to get so many buds on an even level you need to veg much longer, dont you?

Maybe you could tell me how long the hole grow of the plant in the second picture took? From seed/clone to harvest?

Thank you :)

Hi,

unfortunately I cannot yet post links but I think I read it on a Swiss Forum. I will look it up later, if I feel like it.

So far I havent looked at the QB grows here.. I tried to check out the grows in the forum yesterday looking for viparspectra grows but I feel it is very unorganized. People dont put Lamps in the Threadnames etc. ... how can I find them?

Maybe you could link me 1 or 2 quantum board grows? It would be very nice

Thank you

@Ryante55: Hi, what do you mean? What do you know, would you like to share it with me/us? Thank you if you decide you want to
