The roots in your 5/31 photo look amazing!!! Did you just use Heisenberg's EWC tea to achieve that? Did you use any rooting hormones during the cloning process? *drool*

Aside from that the plants have taken off during veg, and congrats on controlling your nutrients, the leaves look to be in perfect shape, no nute burn or anything. What kind of PPMs are you using? I can see why you are excited about round 2!

Just curious, I've got some plants vegging right now too. How did your plants respond to the LST? I've never done any LST but I've been thinking about it since I have a lot of room to grow in. I figured if I'm going to LST though I should probably scrog them too, but I don't know if I want to take the time to do that. Have you pruned at all?

I didn't use the tea until I dropped them into my veg system. Funny you mention it as I just started another batch of Tea this morning. I used Clonex solution and I think Roottech Gel. Borrowed it from a friend as this was my first rip at taking clones with just the wife and me.

Cloned them in a domed tray with perlite and cloning solution in the bottom tray and just sprayed them with 5.6 water twice a day. I think that was day 15.

I ran them at 425 - 450 for the first 10 days or so and then bumped it up to 600 - 650 for another 10 days. Now that they are in the flower room they are right about 800. I use GH Flora Series.

LST was stupid simple. I was apprehensive about it and worried that I might damage my plants. I grabbed a hot glue gun and some zip ties and asked my wife to meet me in the shed to give me a hand with it. By the time she got there, I was done. I glued a zip tie to my bucket 'lid', bent the top of the plant over and zipped it down. Not too tight, just enough to hold it down. About 10 days later, they 'slipped' out of the tie on there own and the top joined the others as future colas. It's called Low Stress Training. I guess that means there is nothing to Stress over. Easy as pie. I ended up having to SCROG on the fly by sending the wife out for those Tomato Cages. They weren't standing up on their own. I have not pruned them but plan to clear the bottoms a bit this weekend.

Sounds awesome BendBrewer... thanks for the heads up on the LST info. I've had great experience in the past using silica additives to help strengthen plants. Might be worth a look. Thanks for getting back to me... cheers!

Dude, you totally inspired me... i just pulled down 3 of my plants to try out a little LST on those puppies... trying it out on some Yumboldt, Blue Dream, and Casey Jones clones... they are already a few weeks into veg so hopefully they can puff out those side branches and get some more colas up in this biatch!

My plants have responded extremely well to the LST so far! The 3 that I did are still in place, the tops have all re-positioned themselves towards the light. My question to you today is, as the side branches get longer, should I tie those down as well? Or only keep the main trunk tied down? Also, if at some point I remove the LST, will the plant straighten up, or will the trunk maintain its bent-over shape?

If you want to tie down the new tops to make even more is Up To You. I ended up with 4-5 tops per tying the top only once. Yeah the idea is that once you new tops are established and growing up, the original top can be released and it should remain bent and level with the others. I can see if you released it too soon that it might want to straighten up though. I think mine simply slipped out of their tie downs on their own after about 10 days.

Hey man been checking ur grow out for a little while. Beautiful looking plants man. Keep it up. I am a huge fan of the very compact node spacing that you get in veg. It is very similar to my babies when they are vegging out. What ever happent to the beauty nugs you had on the first few pages? Any ways every thing looks great keep it up. If you get a min swing by my DWC thread. Just started her up but it will be a fun ride.

Great update. Are those the same strain?

No, the ones down the middle are Babylonia Fruit and the 6 on the outside are PowerKush. The Fruit looks like it will finish 2-3 weeks before the Kush.

Same with my grow. The blue widow and Ak-48 are budding fast!

Local Hydro Store. I DO NOT suggest you get the net pots/buck lid unit.

THESE SUCK: They dome and any run off or over spray runs off onto the floor.


Just get a stack of 6" pots like these and use a Bucket Lid from Lowes. Cut the right sized hole in to hold your pot. These lids concave so all over spray drains back into the bucket and it's cheaper.
