Voting rights for women in Saudi Arabia

Intervention doesn't work and the drug you mentioned doesn't work either, UNLESS the alcoholic truly wants to quit. Unfortunately, most will not quit. AA only has about a 20% success rate. Even "wanting" to quit isn't good enough. A Higher Power is the only way.

One of the major problems is that alcohol is legal. Not that I'd be for making it illegal, because I wouldn't be, but let's face it, there a liquor store or bar on every corner, a liquor section in every super market ... and a neighbor's BBQ to attend.

yes but the intervention may show the addict that they should quit, and need to. they realize they are hurting their family and themselves. sometimes it works.

i think its wrong to say the only way to sobriety is through a higher power. maybe if AA wasnt a religious organization, more people would get sober. most people think its a joke. plus doing it for god isnt a very good reason to get sober. it should be because you realize you shouldnt be doing it, not because god thinks its wrong.

i agree with the liqour store thing. i think if people had more options, there would be less people drinking. if people could go smoke weed at an establishment, i think there would be a lot less people drinking. when you want to be in an altered state and relax after work, what are your options? beer and cigarettes lol its so dumb

They also said that women would still be subject to Sharia law,so they probably won't be allowed vote without permission from a male family member.
