I think all long range weaponry in the world should be banned, and we should only be able to use melee combat weapons such as axes, swords, maces, spears, halberds etc. etc.
Think of how much courage you would have to have and how much more of a badass you would have to be to be able to wield weapons like that in combat!!!
That, i think, would be ideal.
We would immediately weed out the pussies.

Just saying, it would take much more courage to wield a sword and battle to the death getting cut, sliced, and stabbed... then to lift your arm (arms), close one eye, and move your finger..lol.
I'm old and will take any advantage I can get.

I have fire extinguishers in my house. I don't "expect" to have a fire, but I am somewhat prepared should we have one.

funny how many more people are killed from shootings by hunting rifles and hand guns. our government is fucked for wanting to ban assault rifles. besides that the worst school massacre didnt even involve guns. it was from explosives planted by the janitor in michigan. i believe it was in like the 20s i'd have to look it up.
just bought myself this toy http://www.colt22rimfire.com/index.php?page=colt-m16-rifle 22cal long rifle rim fire. 30 round clip. if those queers obama and biden think they're gonna ban clips bigger than 10 rounds they can go fuck themselves. i mean fuck with certain loop holes you can even get away with having a fully auto. i had a relative that died in a violent shooting in a bigger city years ago. wrong place wrong time. my opinion on gun control has never changed. gun violence will never be stopped. school killing will never end. it's a sad fucked world, deal with it!

courageous, yes, but who brings a knife to a gun fight? some one breaks into my house im grabbing my semi auto 12 guage buck shot and calling the police. i got a couple hand guns even a 40 cal glock but i prefer the 12 guage for home defense. i'd hope to never have to shoot anyone but if i feel my life is threatened im gonna make sure it's not an open casket funeral. i hate the gang banger criminal thieving type. society has 1 place for these people and it's not in prison, it's in the dirt. unfortunately i can only do this if they threaten my life. i have a couple idiot younger relatives that were into B and Es. both ended up in jail. family or not i have no sympathy for them and never wish to see them again.

mostly hobby and having extra money to blow for me. where i live i dont really worry about self defense but am prepared if needed. have a lot of friends/family that are either in the military, x-military, or are big time hunters. i've been surrounded by guns my whole life. in upper michigan it's almost impossible to get away from guns. funny how we also dont have very much gun crime in the area. i mean we do but it's not like in the bigger cities. maybe cause almost everyone has a gun. even all the felons in the area, they may not be able to own a gun legally but their husbands/wives and kids have them where the felon relative can access them. it's nearly impossible to enforce gun control and that is why it fails. also most people who grew up around guns know the safety issues and would never do something as stupid as these idiots shooting up places. it's so weird where i grow up we're shooting dangerous hunting rifles at like 10 years old with very little supervision. young kids still do it to this day. i remember my cousin got a 12 guage for his 12th birthday. most parents in other areas would freak! also when growing up though, we would hear safety first type shit like a broken record which was probably good.
also we dont only have guns, we have crossbows and compound bows. i'd rather take a bullet than a bolt or arrow.
on a good day when my friends and i go to camp together we spend over $300-500 on ammo LOL. yeah we're fucking crazy with spending on guns. 7.62x39 rounds are not cheap.
