Want to make sure I’m doing this thing right

First and foremost, my grow room is divided in two sections, Mylar film is put up, ventilation is ipower 4” 190cfm with carbon filter led 1000w light rated for 3.5x3.5feet on side that is 6ftx6ft(other side not completed but is 2ftx6ft)

good setup for a first timer? What could I add to the big section to complete it?
How many plants could I get in the room come veg?

So I got my first GG seedling sprouted. I had 2 but apparently I killed one, probably because too much water(which I’ve understood how to water properly now).. I germinated my seeds in paper towel, put them in solo cups with FoxFarm HappyFrog soil. So far since the one died I have been watching everything very closely. Watering only when the soil seems completely dry throughout, keeping temp above 74 at all times and I’m trying to get my humidity up, but can’t past 40% and that’s only for an hour or two.

What can I do to get my humidity up? I have a humidifier going, have cups of water in the room, fan and ventilation every hour trying to get it up..

what’s the best way to germinate a seed?

Can I germinate in FFHF? Should I use a growing medium?

I plan to germinate 2-6 mo

pics of my seedling and grow setup are attached, give me some good tips and help a fellow newbie out!
So far I think I’ve got a green thumb but wanna get to veg stage before I get too excited..

I am a newbie too but I had good luck transplanting my leggy seedlings deeper to shorten the stem. Also I started touching them lightly a few times a day and they seemed to respond with stronger stems

paper towel and two plates is the best germination method imo. ways to raise humidity: hang wet towels in the tent; run ur exiting fan on low and one more method which i found helping is to put bigger plants (not necesarily marijuana plants, for example i use tomatoes and berries) in the tent. good luck

As far as light distance goes. I started with the light low to the plant 12-16 inches and today is day 11 of being a seedling, so I raised it to the recommended height from the manufacturer which is 30” or so mainly because one tip of the leaf is discoloring.

Yeah 24-30'' would be a safer distance for now. FFHF is a good sprouting dirt as far as I know. I always use roots organic original and have great success!

A buddy of mine suggested I should start using calmag in about 2 weeks. Should I use calmag or should I start with FF big bloom. I have the FFtrio but didn’t plan to give nutes until veg.
Also attached a pic of the growth since I made this post.

What dirt are you planning on transplanting into? If you go into fox farm ocean forest you wont need to feed anything for the first 4-6 weeks.

Honestly didn’t decide what I should go to next was thinking ocean forest. But was also considering mixing OF and HF together

You don't need to run exhaust fan unless temp or humidity are getting too high. I'd try dialing in your temps with no exhaust for now. If temps don't get too high, it should be easy to get your humidity up to 55-65% for early veg. Won't be as challenging to maintain rh once your plants get bigger/transpiration rate increases and need more water.. for a quick rh raise, use a spray bottle and mist your walls. RH should spike immediately. You will eventually need to start exhaust fan to keep RH down! And once you get a better second light, you may or may not need exhaust to control your temp.

Ya the cups of water and wet paper towel was a failed attempt in raising it at all. I also have a humidifier going to try to get humidity up. Just misted my walls and it went up 10% in seconds
