this is my first grow, i started aroura indica 4 months ago. im into flower for 6 weeks. the other day i noticed what looked liked nute burn, but all i had was a bloom mix in there. there was no nitrogen in the mix and hardly any of the 0-5-4 in the water. i put my hand in the water and it was warm. i had burnt tips and the leaves were curling. i moved the 400w lights away and changed the water again. i guess my question is would this cause my problems? please help me with problem. thanx bill

Potential root rot. The water ph probably changes too when you add certain chemicals in and not others like when you changed from grow to bloom. I dont knwo for sure because i dont run hydro but warm water is never good. if youre doing hydro. If not it shouldnt matter as much but cool ish room temp water is good nottoo cold but not "warm"

check ph before and after and see if there is anything different. I got thrown for a loop when my tap changed from consistently 7.0 to 8.2 haha didnt realize i was watering with such high ph water in between feedings.

Last but not least you want/need nitrogen in flowering. Not at equal levels as p-k but you need it thats for sure. Might just need some of that and maybe some cal-mag possible.

Either way check the ph thoroughly. Especially if youre doing hydro.

just because you have no nitrogen in your rez, doesn't mean your plants can't have nute burn. if you're 6 weeks in flower, then you need more nutes than, "hardly any of the 0-5-4 in the water." you should be feeding at the same strength that you were feeding in veg. your rez temp. should be below 70. your first grow and you're doing what, dwc? you don't have a temp. gauge for your rez? whats your ph/ppm? you're gonna change your rez every day? how many plants? how many gallons in your rez? you don't give many details, unless i missed it.....

like i said this is my first grow, i dont know what i'm doin. i get so much info that i sometimes do the wrong thing. i read somewhere that you only go with blooming nutes. i am in hydro and have added more nutes by label of gh. i dont have a temp gauge or ppm meter. i only have 1 plant in a 5 gal. rez. like i said im learnin, i need help with this, i hate bein a pain in the ass, but this is the only site that i've been to that answers my questions. thanx bill by the way thats a pretty crazy picture you got goin there

i'll tell you why you have problems getting folks to answer your questions, cause you're asking questions that have been asked many times before. so you admittedly don't know what you're doing. growing hydro for your first grow is like jumping into the deep end of the pool and not knowing how to swim. things happen fast in hydro, so if you're not ready to respond to problems quickly, you can fail quickly. dwc ain't no cake walk. you pretty much have to have a ph meter, and adjusting solutions. i almost never use ph down, and use pro-tekt for ph up. you can prob. get away w/o using a ppm/ec meter, but in hydro, a ph meter is a must have. without one you can pretty much count on problems that can end your grow for thee most part. keeping the ph correct, and keeping rez temps. down is your biggest problem imo. hydro is not very forgiving, so be prepared for problems as time goes by...
