So I picked up some cash and went to my local hardware store for some CFLs, etc and then dropped by my local hydro store for all the other items I couldn't find that I still needed. Then I had heard of ppl getting tailed so I checked my mirrors. I wanted to see if someone was tailing me. The first few turns went fine.
No early sign of anything...I hop on the express way and I speed away. Then I'm looking behind and I see a white unmarked van about 10 car lengths behind me. I slow down to see if this van just passes me by and I switch lanes over. The van pulls up directly behind me and I see two people in the front seat with black hats and sunglasses on. It was near 7' oclock so sunglasses were reasonable but def not needed. The driver points to the passenger requesting something (I imagine them writing my plate number) then proceeds to switch lanes behind me again about 30 seconds later after attempting to pulling up next to me (again could be me imaging things here).
Mind you this vehicle was going 70+ to catch up to me and then slowed down to about 60-55 and stayed behind me for a bit of time when it could've pushed away and done otherwise.
Next I approach a toll and the vehicle pulls away to enter another pay station at the toll. I take a bit longer to pay and be done and I never saw the van again. My vehicle is marked with out-of-state plates, and I rent a place in this state. I'm confident if that vehicle did follow me that it didn't see my home.
Can I be tracked with my plates to my leased residence, even though they're registered in another state?
Was I followed? am I paranoid?
Heavy stuff to be flipping over. Noob here nothing in my home yet besides tools and hardware. Was planning on growing 1-2 plants soon.
