hi
i have a 8ft square room i have 2 x 600w lights in there and have 40 plants, i used just normal cheap seeds, potting soil garden center and bio grow for the whole crop, when it had all dried out from a 4 week veg 9 week flower i got 39oz, is this ok for my first time? how could i get alot more? i wanted to add another 600w light but worried about having high electric bills raiseing susspetion?

That's a decent dry harvest. How big were your plants when you went 12/12?
Sure would like to see some pics of your 8X8, etc.

I assume by 8ft square room you mean 8x8 which is 64 sq. ft. or 7.11 sq. yards. The books I have say to have one sq. yard per mature plant. Going by this it seems your space is too small for 40 plants (for a maximum yield). I think most indoor growers don't allow 1 sq. yd. per plant just because space is limited. Currently I have 2 plants per square yard.

Did you grow from seed or clone? Were all 40 plants female? If you left males in there then this helps explain a smaller yield as well.

Either way... you got under 1 oz. dried per plant. I'd say you could absolutely improve on that.

40 plants is a big challenge for a first time grower so kudos to you for taking it on.

yea for a first time that seems like a decent yield but definitely room for a lot more ... haha reading your post early on i thought i was going to have a master yield as i am in a 6 sq. ft. closet right now but you must have 64..

wow thats alot of smoke if i ever go to america il be looking you up..maybe you should try a big scrog i hear it gives you great yield but might be too much work to do 40 plants +rep for you for bringing 39 oz,s into the world

1092 grams out of 1200 watts = .92 grams/watt. Thats FUCKING amazing for a first time grow. Add another 600 Watt light and do the same grow, you should be able to pull 1650 grams ,or 3 pounds 10 Oz or so. DUDE you are already a master, i don't think you will be able to improve yields a whole lot more. Def would like to see pics.

sorry i didnt take any pictures i got kinda scared with police finding it on my phone if i lost it or something, anyway its 8ftx8ft sqaure and 8ft high, the plants veg for 4 weeks so were about 30-40cm high, not sure if i should do longer veg, the bud was nice but the only bad thing was there was some seed in the bud on every plant, i did this from femiszed seeds and was told this maybe why as alot of them turn hermi, but the bud was nice im about to start again but im trying some haze from my friend hes been doing it for 3 years and he has taken some cuttings from his mother plant, gonna see what they come out like, id be happy with that amount everytime but maybe make it with out seed in it,

i was pleased as i only use cheap potting soil , tap water and then 1 nutes,

i would like to put a light in but bit worried about choppers or the electicty company, by the way im in the uk! not america
