im just wondering if there is a way to wash your buds off once you harvest? they have been growing outside so who knows what kind of crap is stuck to them.

i dont mean flushing either! i mean before or after harvest cleaning off any dirt and stuff thats stuck to the buds during its time outside. i know there is water curing but i dont really want to do that.

thanks!

Rock go out in the morning before the sun comes up and wash them down now the sun will dry off the moisture. Also shake off the excess water and then you should be fine try not to drown the buds though. I hope this answers your question. Good luck dirrtyd

thanks d. the pine trees around here are dopping orange things(not needles) and they keep getting stuck in my trichs. would putting some kind of thin netting over the plant cause any problems?

Do that immediatly!! Lol any person growing out side should have some sort of barrier. Take a flash light at night point it up in the air and watch all the nasty particles that blow around. You'll see hundreds of specs in just a minutes time. Now amagine 8- 10 weeks of flowering.

I to wash my buds but stop after 5 weeks of flowering. After 5 weeks I noticing even when I washed at night, they still seemed to dry out my buds to mutch. Seemed to take the freshness out of the buds. Could of been the strain chooise though.

was this crazy? I just washed my trimmed buds (5 gallon bucket was only 3" full) by adding 5 gallons water and 1/2 teaspoon Dawn dishwashing detergent, gently agitating with my hands in the water for a few minutes then rinsing twice, and continuing with my "water cure"
the buds look on a brilliant light green hue, just like when i wash pesticides off of broccoli, so I'm thinking nothing bad has happened that wouldn't have happened in the water cure anyway, but any thought or experience would be appreciated.
day 3 of the water cure the plant material looks waterlogged

i've been pouring the water through a metal coffee filter, and there does not appear to be a lot of trichomes in the water I'm pouring out.
