Add more ice (small round cubes) to slow the washer down to be more gentle and use a work bag in the washer. Make sure to use a whole 8 bag set. 25µ isn't necessary though. You definitely want the 45µ, 73 or 70µ, 90µ, 120µ, 160µ, 190µ, 220µ.So yes...the washers dont agitate so much that contaminents are a problem?
And is it better to use dry trim or fresh frozen?
Well you mightve saved me some cash. Was looking at one at a shop here for 250. Seemed pretty big.... was good sturdy quality though...Add more ice (small round cubes) to slow the washer down to be more gentle and use a work bag in the washer. Trim type is preference. Fresh frozen will give you more terpenes and more melty bubble.Soluble (melt) and volatile terps that evaporates when the material dries.
Dry cured material if very good quality will still be melty. Most of the time it comes out looking a brighter white color than fresh frozen. Fresh frozen bubble will make better rosin too. AKA live rosin or frosin.
Also look up portable or mini washers on amazon. Most bubble washers are cheap portable and RV washers rebranded, I got my 10 gallon Panda washer for $80 on amazon. The only reason to get an expensive washer is if you want a 20 gallon washer.

Glad i didnt buy it and checked here first. Woulda been a 250 dollar pack of papers...hahahahah
Of course, it is not the stainless kit Frenchycannoli has been showing around lately, but has worked for me. As far as I know, this is just about gentle agitation.Any good though?
Wow. I havent seen a triple beam since highschool...lolWe got good use out of the purdy blue and white Chinese made RV lingerie washing machine for about a year before it died. They had just hit the scene and I had to make a step down transformer to run it on 120VAC.
As I recall, we used about a 20 minute run to get about half the yield before greening. Lots of trichome shafts and hairs with the heads, so not full melt, but good.
We also got good results using a strainer bucket that I made by installing 120 micron stainless screen in a 5 gallon bucket and using a paint stirrer or wooden spoon. Just more work and a single pile instead of sorted by micron from the washing machine and bubble bags.
The first photo looks like a collection of turds (which I wish I had in my posession)! Any tips or technique that you would like to share or highlight, given that you have tried several? Thanks! Some of this year's (washing machine) fun. After a huge move and a few years of touch/go/testing the waters in my new digs...I finally hit my mark and have enough plant material on hand to make/smoke hash all year long....as well as to try some different approaches to hash making. I'm old school and have always just done what I do....and what seemed in favor.....like pressing was for all of those years. Haven't tried the microplaning approach yet..but will. Fuckin kids and their newfangledness! LOL.
FWIW...here in CO I've never had a problem with mold. Just let that shit dry for a good month in the open air and all is good.
These patty's dried for 3-4 weeks....and were then shaved off with a new scalpel.....dried a few more days....then lightly chopped and put into the jars with silkscreen tops
The last pic is Dubble Mint (Sour Dubble x Thin Mint) 73 micron. No press. I just chopped it/spread it out on a silicone pan....and it flattened down on it's own to about 1/8 inch and dried to an opaque, reddish, pliable consistency. I tried putting it in the jar in wafers but it lumped up like a big hunk of wet deer shit. Yum.
Have 3-4 more strains to test and see what they do...and multiple runs of each strain still in the freezer.....but glad to say...>everything< is yielding seriously well and looking excellent so far.
kief is trichome heads , capiatate stalks and pplant matter. equivelant to dry ice hash. Its made with a single screen. The beach sand bubble hash you speak of and dru sift is pure trichome heads only. kief will not melt but beach sand bubble hash ie ice wax will . Dry sift is made with 4 screens and static tech. It's not about what the "people" want here. This is personal stash. Like I said...if yer happy with that approach...more power to ya. I'm pretty sure that's what I've (disappointingly) gotten the few times I've went to the dispensary looking for "bubble hash". Couldn't figure out why it looked like and smoked like kief until the guy told me that it is processed that way due to regulations on mold. Might as well just sift and avoid water altogether if that's the end result, IMO.
But..um...thanks anyway.
