water chillers

Not got one yet,but when using one does the water pump need to recirculate the water 24/7 and the chiller only come on and chill when need to??

Just baught a chiller 3 days ago, ecoplus 1/10hp, paid about 600 with tax, at your temperature, and it does the rest, it will shut off when reaches temperature, it won't hear the water thaugh, brought temp from 87f to 66 in less than 2 hours (30 gl rdwc system).

Started to get root rot so had to get it.

My water pump shuts off when the chiller gets the reservoir in the right temp range, and then turns back on when its needed. I am sure some cheaper ones don't work this way, but mine does.

Pump always stays on . If not it can cause freezing in the unit , irreparable damage

The unit turns off at the set temperature, it's not going to freeze itself up. The pump always stays on so the chiller can see the temperature of the nutes and know when to kick on.
