Hey folks, kind of fact up my first indoor grow and managed to get a case of bud rot @ a very late stage (about a week to go :S ) Anyways I've followed instructions on other forums, cut out not only the infected buds but the whole stems, and stuck in jars of H20 for the water torture! (feels totally counter intuitive but apparently the mould culture will drown without any oxygen...
Anyways it remains to be seen if this will actually work, even if it doesn't, I've lost nothing and gained some lessons for the next grow...my main questions are regarding the loss of scent/taste - this is a bit of a killer for me as the strain was the most piff smelling lemon kush - the main reason I choose it was for the flavour - Im wondering if theres any way to introduce other flavours to the water to turn the loss of smell into a blessing.
Lemon or orange are obvious choices, although Id be worried that the acid might mess with the the somehow, what about cognac, or cinnamon sticks - even essential oils, although Id be worried about inhaling them.
Has anyone experimented with different flavours in their water cures?
