Water Globes?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has ever used those water globes they sell on TV to keep their girl watered. if so did it work out? Good/Bad idea?

Yeah I have them. They work pretty good. They are a pain to fill up though. Also, in my large pots I have to put like 2 to 3 of them in there so they are effective.
I personally like the water bottles they sell at Home Depot because they are larger and hold more water, oh and they are a lot cheaper. You can also save the spikes on the water bottles and they can be used on a 2 liter coke bottle.

you mean the oversized free-base pipes.

i guess they kinda look like that,
glass
big resevoir at the top to hold water
with a long tube you insert into the soil
its supposed to give your plants water only when it needs it

Bump, first time grower also curious about the aquaglobes and their helpfullness...

not sure about their usefulness, but i mean really.. it's not that hard to water ever 3 days, and if you use them outdoor, they are gonna attract alot of attention

its an indoor grow so not that worried about attention.
and the way i see it one more way not to fuck up my plant
by overwatering (relative nub), also why not have the waterglobe give your girl the amount of water she wants, when she wants it.
