These look like theyll be ok how they are under cfls. Here is my mikado in a space bucket with 4 60w cfl almost to its 7th week
Itll slow them a bit for now but it was your best option for getting light to the lower areas of the plant and getting a good yield. They look healthy otherwise so theyll be ok as long as you did it rightI pinched them over this mornING it's not gonna stress it out to much?
you're prolly right, on some scientific level......for the average joe, flat white will reflect better than wadded up mylar......then there's that moisture barrier I mentioned............White paint isnt more reflective than mylar but its more diffusive. Mylar may cause hotspots, and flat white paint is plenty reflective. I use diffusive mylar in my tent thoughView attachment 3981562
Works fine. 98% reflective when perfectly clean as opposed to flat white claimed at 85%. I really like the way flat white looks in a grow though
samsquanch!!!Lol that would be my arm or wrist
Even wadded up, light would have to reflect off mylar 8 times to get down to 85% of the light left, while at that point flat white would leave at most 27%.you're prolly right, on some scientific level......for the average joe, flat white will reflect better than wadded up mylar......then there's that moisture barrier I mentioned............
isn't that a bit unfair though? obviously the paint isn't wadded up but its as flat as what it's applied to........which is my basic point, can't really fuck it up......and that moisture barrier......i get what you're saying though, those numbers are correct dude, I believe you....Even wadded up, light would have to reflect off mylar 8 times to get down to 85% of the light left, while at that point flat white would leave at most 27%.
Is it that hard to lay mylar flat? Sorry for getting so technical on you . But it really isnt that hard to use mylar imo. And the benefits are obvious if you use the right texture of mylar. I agree with the moisture barrier but you could achive that another way and still use mylar for its reflectivity. Sorry if i come off as confrontational lol. I totally like the white paint thing (looks amazing) i just wanna lay out the benefits of mylarisn't that a bit unfair though? obviously the paint isn't wadded up but its as flat as what it's applied to........which is my basic point, can't really fuck it up......and that moisture barrier......i get what you're saying though, those numbers are correct dude, I believe you....
no worries dude....im not picking up any confrontation at all I'm just high on a cannabis board......... it's like tinting windows I guess.....is it that hard compared to just painting the window? Is it that hard to lay mylar flat? Yeah ive heard of people using the car windshield things. They use mylar for those8 time light reflection....think about folding a piece of paper 8 times....at that point, youre done.

i reckon it's somewhat subjective.
the stuff in your pics looks way easier to work with though than the thin sheets.
And who paints their windows??8 time light reflection....think about folding a piece of paper 8 times....at that point, youre done.

i guess..if we talking fiber optics lol.Yeah ive heard of people using the car windshield things. They use mylar for those
As for the folding paper thing, not related in any way lol, light can definitely go for 9 or 100 or 1000
Hahaha lmfaowhat's that hairy thing on the right in the last 2 pics?
