mainly a hydro guy so watering as always been the easiest part of the grow. i have about 20 plants in soil and was wondering what methods are you guys using to water your plants to make it easier and more efficient? right now im bobbing and weaving trying to get to these things with a water can. not to mention the back and fourth trips to the res is really time consuming. any ideas/suggestions??

Get a pump, large brute trash can or water barrel, hose and garden watering wand. Assemble. Enjoy.

If just feeding tap water skip the bin and pump.

this was my exact idea to the T. my few questions: how does the hose connect to the pump if i were to use a water hose or wand connect to vinyl tubing? (thought quick connect could work) what size pump would provide enough pressure for the wand if using vinyl tubing??

Go with the above ideas and you will get shit yields,
continue as you are, but store a large open vessel
(oil drum, etc 44 gal plus) at the site refill with rain
or 1x time per month, or use an air mattress in the ground
overwater your plants to get short stubby plants or allow to wilt
in early bud, to get huge plants
...compare?

Have you tried every single one of those methods? If not, then you CANNOT say you will get shit yields. I like the SIP system which I will be using once I get my organic soil built. It combines passive hydro with organics. Best of both world's? Currently I use hempy, and get a ounce - 1 1/2 ounces per gallon milk jug. I want to do soil though, and the SIP system is beautiful, Google noobs selfwicking water system or some such. It is awesome.

The pumps I've used I cut the hose, slipped it over the pump outlet and hose clamped it.

Your solution may vary. Don't undersize the pump.... 1000ish gph mag drive would be my suggestion.
