My girl just broke through soil yesterday..should I water seedling untill water runs from bottom of pot..I'm using a 4 in deep small pot. It has been in soil for 3 days..ive just been misting the top when dry..im just worried that the bottom might be dry and as the root grows there will be no moisture. But I'm also aware lots of people overwatering seedlings...please help!!

I water just a few ounces for the first three to five days, then I saturate. I start in 1/2 gallon pots.

Put a second pot of the same size that's full of dry medium next to your plants. When you go to water, compare the dry pot with the planted pot, and if they are relatively equivalent in weight, water (full saturation until runoff).

What medium are you in? That'll dictate what you should pH your water to when you water/feed your plants.

Its "organic" natures care from mg..its light and drains easy..so i should wait a couple more days before i saturate?? Also its in a grow tent on the floor in the cross winds of two vent holes so it drys fast...i moisten the top once every 2 hrs

Green bag orange label? Been there done that. It’s good soil. Try to water as little as possible as it’s hot soil and your activating the nutrients every time you water.

stop moistening the top. The roots are going down. That’s where it needs to be wet.

like @spek9 said small amounts of water.

And don’t bother to ph right now as it will most likely burn the seedlings. It toasted all of mine until I just used plain tap for the first two weeks.

Also I got about 25-30 days out of the bag without adding nutrients. This will obviously vary depending on your light, watering habits, etc.
