Watering seedlings...

Ok so about 3-4 days ago my seeds popped in root riot cubes... I have 3 litre air pots that I've transplanted them into.. The day before transplant I water the 3 litre pots with natural mineral water ph 6.2... I soaked the pots all the way through the day before transplant.. What I want to know is when I should water again?.. I'm thinking if I leave it for a while the tap root will grow more to search out the water already in the soil.. But I don't want it to go without water at this young age so I'm worried I might be doing the wrong thing by waiting... Are there any ways of knowing when is best to water the seedlings?.. Should I wait for the top of the soil to dry up 1st?? I'm not sure whether to just water them today or leave it a bit longer for the root to search out the water?.. Any help would be much appreciated...

Because they're pretty fragile at that stage you're better off transplanting to a smaller cup to monitor watering schedules...also, a smaller pot/cup will actually help the plant gain root structure due to the smaller container and grow faster...g/l

Wait for the pot to dry out pretty well then eater it. You were correct in the assumption the roots will search for water. You won't see much top grrowth regardless if you water or not. Right now It's going to be focusing on laying down a rootmass. So wait it out til your soil gets a bit dryer. Weigh a pot dry and then wet. Guesstimate what 1/3 of eet weight will be. Then water when it hits that maybe. I personally let my seedlings go at least 5 days before hitting them with a little water. They fill up their pots with roots. And that's a solo cup. Then watch em take off after a good watering.

Ok thanks for the advice :) I don't think I want to go for a smaller pot or cup I'd prefer to just let it grow into these before transplanting into final pots.. I'll get my scales out now monkey :) I will monitor them and try leving them a bit longer.. Is there any signs I should look out for of underwatering in such small seedlings?? They don't even have big enough leaves to look out for wilting..
