I read somewhere in these forums that you can bubble the chlorine out of tap water. By placing the water in a container with bubbling air stones overnight.

i dont think it would matter too much as long as you keep your ph in check.

the tap water has chlorine, fluoride, and some added trace elements that your plant would like.

and the well water has alot of iron and other trace elements that your plant would like.

so either way it wont make a big deal. ph is gonna fuck you sooner than a toxicity/deficiency from the water youre using.

what kind of nutes are you using?? if none then youre fine.

i have read that you want a higher lvl of ecc the farther you get into veg and flowering, so to me well water would be better as long as ur well is clean. and you can get the clorine out by jus letting it sit out for 24hr or so, bubbler will just speed up the process

Fluoride,Chlorine and Chloromine are not desired elements . lol Outdoors: If your soil is PH'd right or has dolomite lime in it PH of water does not matter. There are some new studies that un chlorinated water might not be harming the Micro heard as thought in large outdoor soil grows. Most of the Chlorine attaches to the top 2-3 inches of soil particules. The micro heard in the root ball stays good. Bubbling or letting water sit will remove chlorine but not Chloromine. I use tap water with a inline filter and I bet it doesn't pull out all the Chlorine and Chloromine but it makes me feel better. Water run thru Humice will kill and remove Chlorine and Chloromines. If I had well water that is what I would use.

I would use the well water myself just because its the closest thing what a plant would be drinking in nature. The higher ppm is just minerals most likely.

I water my plants with well water straight from the hose. I've never measured it's PH. Though I probably should just to know my baseline. My soil has garden lime in it just in case.

I figure if I can make clones in my well water right from the sink that it must be pretty stable.

I wouldn't recommend copying everything I do though, I'm pretty new at this growing thing.

the stones may speed things up. but normaly, over night just standing is good enough, but, some areas have more in their water than others. my water is low in chorine, because its a private corporation. (evil! put em and their profits out of buisness!). ;lol. the normal ppm on mine is like 130. and much of this is calcium. im a lucky one. i been giving my outdoor, right out of the hose. screw em. and guess what? NO DIFFERENCE. lol. the normal levels of chlorine, in my opinion, dont do anything. ounce the water is splashed onto the ground, pot, it evaps very fast. i have seen no problem with chlorine.

obviously fluoride and chlorine are bad for your plant. but there are other things in the water such as calcium which your plant would like. i didnt mean they would like chlorine...

I use rain water exclusively, Look into a rain barrel or a large (clean) garbage can and run your downspout into it. Keep it covered to prevent mosquitos from breeding in it. If that's not an option for you I would use the well water. Good luck my friend.
