Watering Spike???

I just came across this watering spike thing.
It says you just fill it up and stick it in the soil and the plant absorbs water from it as needed.

Does anybody have any opinions on this?

ok to clarify what brimck said...

Don't use it...marijuana wants soil that dries out between waterings or you will just suffocate the root system and rot it out. Using one of those water spikes/globes/whatever just keeps the soil moist...which you do not want in this case

Ok, thanks that makes total sense.
I figured it was trash.

If they are anything like the advertised Aqua Globes they are worthless.

I bought $30 worth of the AG thinking I would use them to water my darlings
while I took a week in Canada walleye fishing. Good thing I decided to test them out
before leaving for a week. The globes immediately drained all their contents into the
flooded pot. They are worthless.
