Is there a certain time you should water in your tent in terms of lighting?
This sounds like an attempt to solve an argument! Hehe.Is there a certain time you should water in your tent in terms of lighting?
Agreed, In normal soil/soilless it's ideal to water until a slight amount of runoff comes from the pot whenever the pot is almost dry but still moist. The ideal conditions should be the plant always has water, but never has too much to where the rootzone can go anaerobic and is always getting fresh water/nutrients.I haven't noticed a big difference in tents under lights.
Just water according to:
1. When the plants need it
2. What fits your schedule.
Depending on media, you'll have to water more or less.

Not really. You can get into the weeds on plant cycle and glucose creation, but at the end of the day - not really.
No, it was just a question that I wondered. I am growing ACDC.When it rains it rains without regard to lighting so anytime is likely safe. Can you argue there are better times for you and the plant, surely. What are you growing?

I simply go off the appearance of my coco in the pot, if it looks tan colored, I'll feel the pot just by pushing it with my hand and if it's light or obviously drying out then I will water until I see runoff, you don't want the pots pissing out water/feed but you also don't want dry areas in the rootzone as roots can die and salts can build up.
Think about hydroponic growing, the roots are constantly submerged in an oxygenated water solution with nutrients and pH balance. The difference with soil/soilless is you can't really pump as much oxygen into it as you can with hydroponics so you create a very inviting environment for anaerobic bacteria, pests, root diseases etc..
Simple Answer
Water the plants when they visibly/physically need it.
Nice! I look forward to seeing pictures. Welcome to RIUNo, it was just a question that I wondered. I am growing ACDC.
