watering??

ok this is probably a very frequesnt asked question but i cant find any

i have a plant growing in a 16oz cup and its been growing since germ. for about 2 weeks. when should i water it and how much?.. like every day i check to keep the top layer moist with a spray bottle... but when it needs water should i pour water in until it comes out the small hole i made in the bottom of the cup or what???

someone help please

The most common problem with people growing pot is that they over water their plants.

Water when the top of the soil down to about an inch feels dry. If you have a good soil then you should only have to water it every 5-7 days. It is good that you have a hole in the bottom because that prevents extreme over watering.

For a 16 oz. cup you would probably only need 4 ozs. of water. You just want the soil to be moist NOT WET/ MUDDY.

alright thank you. i should probably do that soon then because i havent actually watered it in a while because i was afraid to overwater it.
