Laws don't get overturned in the USA, they stay on the books but are just ignored. Its a lot like the US constitution in that regard. It is VERY difficult and takes a bunch of work to repeal a law. Politicians are not accustomed to doing work.

Not only that UB she was a dentist she knew what was happening to her body. The doctor could have been a hero instead he let her die and she knew it.
