sicc, that's looking damn good. been following since page one but as my post count shows I'm cautious (only post when I can get to an anonymous connection, paranoid, heh)

I'm wondering, if you're running an AG and haven't had any roots getting caught around the air tube or anything yet, do you think you can transition to a DWC like yours without stressing them too much?

Not that I'd do that kind of thing (glancing left and right)... but if someone did, and they wanted to... do you think all'd be good if the ph and water sources were all the same?

Its safe man, its all good, i'd give out my real name, i dont give a fuc, neither should you but i had mad roots in my AG last time, never fuc'd with anything. You can transfer just fine, there is a thread, i would have to look bac but he basically cut the lid to his DWC box to fit his ag Base, unless you can succesuflly untangle the roots and to what i did. It would work fine.:bigjoint:

Ghetto is my last name
Well you got me beat.... it's my middle name. :p After my hubby gets home from Iraq (anywhere from late July to early September), we're using his VA benefits to buy our first home. Till then, we're living right in the middle of one of the worst ghettos in the IE (long story RE: how we ended up in this piece of crap house, complete with our very own slum lord!).... & being ripped off big time for rent: about $250 monthly more than what our mortgage payments will be at the price range we're looking at currently, and that'll be "moving up" quite a bit RE: neighborhood & all that jazz, including horse property! I used to be in Real Estate (Property Management) before the (still undiagnonsensed) illness took over, and although I feel bad for the sellers right now, we've gotta take advantage of the Buyer's Market while we can; it's just how the Real Estate Game is played. The previous Seller's Market was a huge obstacle for us RE: buying before.

ANYHOOO, back on topic, eh? :bigjoint:

SICC, if you ever wanna hang your lights without so much risk of them falling again  here's a handy little contraption I just found: Aerospring Light Stand for $45.... I'm sure it'd be easy for many people to build one of these on their own and possibly cheaper, but I'm not one of those people. Also, hanging lights from the ceiling isn't feasible for me, not only physically but also due to sometimes having the desire/need to move the system to another room, etc. Since I just ordered Steath's "Multi Spectrum Bubbleponics" kit (which was shipped today, WOO HOO!), I've been wondering how I'd manage hanging the suckers.... hubby's not mechanically or carpentry inclined, so I don't trust him much to hang my lights safely. (His talents are vast, but not in the area of building/fixing. LOL) I'm ordering this light stand today. It's so lightweight that if I need to move the unit to another room (and of course once we buy our house and move altogether), I'll be able do it myself without any need for help. Ease of use/maintenance is my goal as always!

BTW, don't know who's aware of this site for AG replacement parts/products, but so far it's got the best prices I've found yet: AG Parts & Accessories. Check out the AeroGarden Ultra Grow Liquid Nutrients for $12.99 (says it's a 1 yr. supply).... I know you really like the AG nutes, but the tablets can be a pain to dissolve much less measure to preference/need, so I thought I'd give you a heads up on this new addition to the AG line in case you'd not heard of it yet. ;) Now that I found reasonable prices for AG replacement parts, I'll most definitely continue using it for my two mothers (one indica and one sativa, at least for the time being till I choose which works best for my needs & preferences, etc.) instead of buying/building something else.... and I'm going to switch to the new liquid AG nutes for more ease and control of nute balance in the AG.

Well, hope I was able to show you something of interest!

No problem, just sharing info I stumbled across earlier. If I get everything done today that I've planned on (it's my sons' 19th Bday so it's a bit hectic around here), I'll try to make sure these links get posted to the AG FAQ thread for those who'd be interested in them. :)

Yeah, if I had tools then I'd probably enlist my son to make me one. But by the time I bought tools as well as the PVC and other supplies, it'd cost me just as much (if not more) as purchasing the pre-cut kit. So it's better for me to go with the kit itself.
