Or not LOL..........sure their is dumb advice out there LOL....but whos the dummy for following dumb advice....My advice is use some common sense and KISS(keep it simple stupid) if you go wrong with that and need to go to an internet forum to seek advice....then I think you should practice on tomatoes for a while....Just my .4 cents...Which if we are talking pre-1996 cdn. pennies then it actually is worth .12 cents due to the elevated copper values....Hells bells I'm stoned.

Whats happens when someone new with no "tag" give really good advice? Are we supposed to discredit them because the have no tag?

Also as in tag take the shroomery as example the people there they give sound advice and know how to grow there shrooms and help people out constantly have a trusted cultivator tag under their avatar. Of course this is to be determined by mods and admins and the consensus of the community if someone should get one.

and the moderators of this site would get tags that say "Moderator" or "Admin"
i've been on forums with 'tags' before, and they're very nice. but you can't just give these tags to anyone, they have to earn it, obviously.

it doesnt mean that at all..... but the tags would show who you can FOR SURE trust. the tags can be used for many different categories of people, too. my mind isnt too clear right now but im sure there are many good ideas!

Nah rep can be given for anything. Tags would be an actual sticky bumper type sticker under you avatar stating your a trusted grower who constantly gives great advice, grows great, and helps others and can be trusted with info he/she is posting

yes a tag that can be given by admin/mod. But also possible for the community to vote in a new person (but mod/admin have to approve)
you want to start giving out medals now...
that's all that would be... a 'merit badge'

it can be whatever you want it to be. it could be helpful, hell it could attract people to the site who think they're worthy of having a badge, and maybe motivate some people to help others on here.
don't people work hard so they can get a raise? its not like these badges would be easy to get, and maybe the rules would simply be if u ask for one u arent getting one.
i dont see any negative signs from adding them, do you? i see more people joining the site, having reliable sources when we need help, motivation to come up with good tips, help topics, or just creative posts in it's own.
yeah, there may be some people who want a badge real bad, and do what they can to get it, but isn't that a good thing? think about it.
