How many cigarette ad's you see on TV? I get what you're saying, and yeah, I know cigs are different....Also, in order for there to be commercials, someone has to foot the bill, and popular timeslots aren't cheap. Besides, it's sorta a product that doesn't need advertisment, right?

Not a chance. If you get a distributor license you will not be able to have a sign that has a pot leaf on it.

Well they don't run cigarette ads because its a bad influence on kids. But they run vodka, liquor, whiskey and beer ads like its no problem what the hell is up with that?

I think it was the marketing. Joe Camel was targeting kids whereas liquor ads are targeting adults.

Either way I don't think weed will need advertising. Word will get out on where to get good weed and where you will get bad weed. I don't think they will allow it to be advertised but I do think they should. It seems silly to allow alcohol but not weed to be advertised.

They may not make it obvious but i think they will have them for a big companies involved in the business. Money talks and I am sure a station will play it as long as it is tasteful and professional.

Hilarious but it does get the point across. I would love to see the day when weed could be advertised openly. However as I sit here and think about it, if weed were to be legalized to the degree that alcohol is with commercials and superbowl advertisements I must come to the conclusion that it will be so accepted in our society that it would be silly to think of the days of marijuana prohibition. However does that mean that big business will have taken over weed growing and distribution? Corporations and businesses are the only ones who seem to be able to really get the government to change the laws about many issues and sway the unswayable.
