Week 8 and new pistils.

Are plants that are spitting out new pistils at week 8 in flower just growing more? Is this the "bulking up" I read about? Last time I grew this strain (first real grow) it happened to me twice at week 8 and week 10. It is definitely not a heat issue. They are for sure mostly sativa if that matters.

Just trying to get an understanding of when they might be done. Last grow I went 12 weeks and I feel like, if this is truly them gaining weight, that they could have easily exceeded that 12 week flower period.

It took a VERY long time for any of the trichs to go milky. I barely saw any, if any, amber trichs in my last harvest. Appreciate any help and knowlege!

You got it, some strains will shoot pistils multiple times, that’s how big buds stack down the stem. You probably have a month to go if it’s Sativa dominant. Wait until pistils turn color and shrivel back into the tops, then check your trichs.

Looks good, probably water hogs right now around week ten they will start taking less. if you feed more P and K late in flower they will plump up more in the last week.

I went with a scrog this time. Only my 2nd real grow and these are my first ever clones. So I understand everything isn't perfect. Also, my LED made things so bushy that my scrog is quite different looking than most I've seen.

That is pretty much exactly what a scrog is supposed to look like. You trained your plant to evenly fill the net and create a canopy of buds, cheers.

The “scrogs” you see guys do with multiple layers of nets and plants sticking up 2 feet are the ones that are not really scrogs,. At that point it’s just support trellising. You actually used the screen to control the canopy.

I saw far too many posts of supposed scrogs. I was far more interested in doing it the right way. Though I wound up flipping a bit early and not completely filling my screen, I am pretty happy with the end results.

@Thundercat You have been a huge help to me. Not just in your comments to my posts, in your comments to others as well. I truly appreciate that you have a helping mentality. We need more of that in this world!

I try to lend a hand when I can. This site has helped me become a better grower, and I really would like to think a better person. Ive learned a lot about people and how we all communicate. The site has changed a lot over the years. Many of the old head growers I was learning from way back when are gone and moved on. I have come and gone a few times over the years as life got busy. But I keep coming back at this point to try to help new growers. I hope I can help save people time learning lessons it can take years to learn first hand.

Absolutely! I've been on the managerial end of customer service for 15+ years. Treating people here should be no different. Unfortunately the internet is full of know-it-alls and trolls. One needs to open their mind in order to let the gift of knowledge in:)
