Week 8 of Flower and the HUMIDITY is OFF THE SCALE!

Run down of situation:

4 x 4 x 6' tent
Wilma Big 9 Hydro system (140lt res)
6" Ruck Inline Fan with 6" Rhino Carbon Filter
1000w Lumatek Dimmable (at 1000w, I don't push to 1100w)
16" Oscillating fan - Left/Front Corner - positioned just above the canopy, aimed diagonally at the canopy.
18" Oscillating fan - 18" away from Right Front Corner, towards back - positioned 12" above the canopy, aimed under reflector/diagonally across the top of canopy.
12" Air Circular - Right/Front Corner - stood on corner of a plant pot in use, blowing diagonally under canopy.

Inline RUCK fan has a speed controller, but it has been left on maximum for weeks now.
All 3 fans have three speeds (as well as 'off').
Usually they are kept on the lowest speed.
Occasionally I turn all 3 fans to the highest speed and 'blast' the area for a few minutes.

9 Plants on Day 54 of Flower, after 48 Days of Veg.

The tent is very crowded. I allowed the plants to grow too large during Veg phase, after receiving bad advise from my cousin.
I pruned the lower 3rd of the plants but I was too timid in my approach and now realise I should have taken off far more foliage.

Temperatures and Humidity
Temperatures vary from 64* with [up to] 88% RH, during DARK PHASE to
78* with 64% RH, during LIGHT PHASE.

I AM NEARLY 8 WEEKS INTO FLOWER
the buds are fat and dense and aromatic.
They sparkle with trichomes
and they are incredibly sticky to the touch.
(The trich's are, as of yet, totally colourless and crystal clear).
At this final stage of growing I would hate to lose the crop to mould or rot
The extremely high humidity is a constant worry
and I just hope to avoid any related problems.

I don't know what else I can try, ventilation wise.
A 6" Inline can exchange 420m3/h
the tent is only 2.88m3 (which woks out at 172.8m3/h)

For this crop there is little I can do about the overcrowding.
To change the inline and filter would be difficult.
Putting the Air Circulators on a higher speed seems to make little difference.

IDEAS FOR NEXT TIME...???
I've been pondering the use of a dehumidifier
(but there's little available space within the tent)
An active inline to introduce air, rather than the passive system I now use???
Or a second, smaller extraction inline, that has a 2nd smaller filter UNDER the canopy....?

I was planning on getting an ENVIRONMENT CONTROLLER,
with thermostat and humidistat
but, as things are now, it wouldn't make a difference
because it doesn't have the ability to make my ventilation equipment
work harder than the 100% I have them working now.

Pictures of a my crowded tent recently taken.

SUGGESTIONS APPRECIATED.

yes but the dehumidifier will take the moisture out of the air. 64% aint great but not horrible either. just harvest on time.

I had same problem a few grows back, mid to low humidity during lights on, and really high humidity during lights off(88-91%). Use to find bud rot in late stages of flower, then brought a dehumidifier and have never looked back. I run the machine only through the dark period, and start about 3 weeks into flower. Over the 12 hours it would collect 4 litres or more a night. Never found rot again. I use to top up their water tubs with the water collected. Well worth the investment!

You should make room for dehumidifier now and for that size tent a 30 or 50 pint dehumidifier will ease your humidity and your worries.
Sorry, that wasn't a demand... hate 4 anyone to lose an entire crop. Is your tent in a light proof'd room? If so...keep the tent open 24/7. If not...you may want to invest in that dehumidifier.

Should work in a pinch. Ide go a little larger so you don't over work it (burn it out and render it useless) Larger also means less times it would need to be emptied..

Get a dehumidifier with a continues drain option. It will have a water storage tank or you can hook a hose straight to water outlet to drain straight out for none stop use. Mine does.

Bro mold and rot is so f-ckin nasty that if you ever get it, you'll never grow without a dehumidifier again. If you gotta sell somethin or whatever to buy one you gotta find a way to get one. I know what its like when you need shit and moneys tight.

Is it a sealed space? Do you have air intakes? If you can't get a dehumidifier inside the tent at least dehumidify the room the tent is in..

I don't have a dehumidifier.

The tent doesn't feel that humid.
The walls are not slippery wet
the atmosphere isn't heavy with moisture....

A few weeks away....
and the first 2oz will pay for a shitkicker of a dehumidifier!!!!
Until then, I'm maxed on my cards
I'm behind on my bills
and the wife refuses to even consider prostitution.

Selfish bitch!

Been there, done that. Not that there's anything wrong with that^^^ did I mention
Ive been happily divorced for 15 years now.:hump:

Look into DampRid.com inexpensive and will decrease your humidity. I'm not sure if its available in your neck of the world or not. I have a large one in my boiler room. It works.

Many portable air conditioners also dehumidify. You may want to check one of those out before dropping $400 on just a dehumidifier.
