Yes...and it does little to effect the temps in a closed environment even with the blower cranked all the way up, which hurts its performance as well....I keep it at 78 and for sure the heat is ten degrees hotter unless I open the enclosure up to the entire location...which is a no-go!!!

LIke I was mentioning...I did a little overkill with the light I bought...I should work my way up as a newbie but why wait to blast-em and go for broke!!!

If you want to remove a bunch of heat from a hps and make it more efficient use a super spreader under the bulb. Make the bulb and superspreader parallel. No more plant shuffle because the center one is growing taller.

Can't show pictures because new cameras files display for those in the know, the location of where the picture was taken per built-in GPS people are unaware of....they look good and are fed perfectly using ds 1200 LED from platinum lights....

Here's mine at 5 weeks into flowering....thought they were dying but they were dying to grow more. It's natural in some strains IMHO2014 08 14 (Sick).jpg

Bad news all....I was forced to break down and sterilize the location today...all of them got wacked and I had to throw some out...it is true. It was an emergency. Thank you all for everything and I made tons of notes so I could do this again one day but without all the heat and pressure of the law...I have a lot to lose. Best wishes all.

When I cut them down and had them in normal light they were deep green, freshly fattening buds with huge amounts of clear trichromes, and really would have produced a lot of bud for three plants! Scrogging is the way to go! I am a believer in the LED lighting because I have never seen such green growth underneath a full canopy like I noted.
