Weird leaf problem

ok this is happened to one plant that’s been main lined, top fan leaf and one smaller below it. I have four mains and it’s only on one.

I don’t believe it’s a deficiency, thinking environmental issue? Heat? Or possibly fimming?

Any ideas?

I've seen an article somewhere about this or what I suspect this is anyways. If I'm right (emphasis on the 'if'), then it's simply a genetic mutation triggering a half of one leaf to turn yellow on an otherwise healthy plant.

Not sure if this is what's happening, but it's worth a read. What strain are you growing, may I ask? Irregardless, as long as this isn't spreading, I wouldn't fret. I've had leaves do that weird twist without the yellow part, and although I don't know the cause, it never seemed to cause any real harm.

That’s interesting I’ll have to give the article a read. That plant is the northern lights number five from seed.

And yes the rest of the plant is healthy and growing just fine, it’s just my first grow and I’ve never seen that before.

I appreciate the info thank you

Might not be. even if it, is doesn't seem to have much effect. I've had it a time or two, usually on a few leaves and it grows out of it, or doesn't seem to spread anymore at least
I took the one fan leaf off and gave it a good look, the vains seems strong and green which was interesting compared to the one half of that one leaf.

I’ll keep an eye out, so far all the plants are doing pretty well.

Also from what I’ve read and found online is that I’d have to send it samples for testing because there isn’t a real way to diagnose TMV via sight alone.

Some say cannabis doesn't get TMV but in my opinion, from what I've gleaned it does, but it also doesn't seem to do much to it. I've never seen it challenge a plant, I've had it more than a few times over the years and the plant usually grows out of it or I take the leave off..

I've seen at most a handful of leaves on one plant affected to varying degrees, so don't worry about it but I thought you would like to at least see that picture, good luck!

And I really thank you for bringing the picture to my attention because I have never heard of it before and I’ll definitely be keeping a close eye on it should it progress I’ll toss the plant.

No problem my friend and it won't progress, don't toss the plant, there's a fair argument that it could just be a simple genetic twist as well, but now you are aware -good luck

I've always been interested in how the tobacco mosiac virus works...it seems to be a pretty rare virus. I think it's one of those things that a healthy plant can grow out of, and pretty quick, but a sick plant will have a much tougher time..Anyways, glad we could narrow it down for ya, hope it all goes well! Msg if anything changes!

Appreciate that... right now I’m on day 8 of flower and all plants have multiple white pistils forming. Other then those two leafs i found with what may be TMV, no other signs of trouble... (jinx)

Just have to work on getting my humidity down but the weather in my area isn’t helping me out.
