weird thing growing around my plant?

I turned the light off my plant last night for 5 hours and when i Went to put the lights back on it some weird little sprouts are growing around my 9 day old baby weed plant.The things growing around it are about 3 inches long and their gray and just a stem and little ball at the top what are these?Will they harm my plant?

Where did you get your soil? Did you use outdoor garden soil?

It sounds like you have seeds in your dirt. That is my best guess. Go to a garden store and get some Foxfarm or other planting soil.

Sounds like mushrooms to me, watering too much?
