hi all, i have been browsing your site for a wile now and am for all intensive purposes a noob to growing, this is my first post to your site so i hope you can help :bigjoint:

the plant in question is northern lights, it is around 2 weeks old, i have it under 5 t5 lights, my system is a continual flow hydro set up and 2 days ago i gave them there first feed, canna 2 part veg feed at 1 quarter strength,

there are 2 more plants in the set up (1 dna sour cream and 1 purple wreck) but they are newly in there and have no signs of anything similar happening to them, im hoping its not the feed that has caused it or if its simply bad genetics??

you are overfeeding. use 1/4 str solution for seedlings like that.

those mis-shaped leaves are due to stress, not genetics. unless you see retractable adamantium claws or your plant shoots destructive red beams from it's growing tips, always assume irregularities are NOT due to mutations.

looks like you got a bubble bucket there, not a constant flow system.

if you have your plants living in a bucket then the bucket needs an air pump and air stone for bubbles. otherwise your roots drown and you will get mis-shaped leaves like that before the plant dies.

if you have an air pump bubbling the water, check your PH it should be around 6.3 - 6.8

cheers for the replies guys, I had the feeling it was my fault lol, but I am using 1/4 str solution Dr kynes??

it is a constant flow system, i built it myself, the pots always touch the water that is flowing to and from the res,
i have an air pump and long air strip that reaches under all three pots for airation, and i set my ph again last night to 6.8.

Do you think i should cut out all nutes for a couple of weeks then??

Root system stress prob due to pathogens in the system, you need high grade H2O2 in th res every 4 days to control this.

i,m at about the same stage i,m getting a simular thing (bottom pic top leaf) all i,m giving them is half strength seaweed root boost i,m puzzled to???

sry nastynate my mistake, i keep my system running at ph 5.8, confused myself b4 lol,

buds i have heard about dosing with peroxide but have never done it, i thought it simply promoted healthy roots by injecting oxygen?
defo worth a shot tho i have heard good things, would something like the 40% food grade be good enough??

red1966 you are soo right, i was having a chuckle earlier looks like ive spent all this time and effort to grow some super strength indoor cultivated bazil! pmfsl

thanks for all your replies guys, Do you all think i should stop with the nutes for a couple of weeks and dose with h202??
