They do appear to be a bit less green than I'm used to seeing, I boosted the N in my feed when I saw my plants looking like that. But I gotta say that shade of green does look really nice, really pleasant to look at

Cowboy hasnt posted in a while... little girl was found safe and alive... plants are looking healthy and going into flower...

I can only do true justice to 2 at a time. I trust in Mother Ganja's love. I am now almost sure both Short & Sweet are females. We will know for sure in a few days.
 
Start doing the ancient sacred dance of female fertilization. Looks a lot like the pelvic thrust with 90 degree turns every 2 thrusts. Come on I'll do it with ya. one and two and one and two....

I usually use fem'd seeds but between the holidays and a bout with unemployment, I had to get what I could. I got LUCKY! <I hope> Time will tell.

TBH I never even considered that one or even both may be males. I left it in the hands of Mother Ganja. I have shown generations of her children love and affection. Her good karma is rewarding me now.

I personally wouldnt do it but I know what you mean, I was in the back of my mind expecting to get more females than male and I did, i got 7 out of 10! yeeeee

Nope not in the bible fer sure. Jorge came to me in a cannabis induced trance and told me so. It was real cool man. It was Jorge's head on the houka smoking caterpillars body. Guess that'll teach me to play Black Sabbath at 78 speed in my headphones...LOL!!!

I got lucky with my last 2 beans. One of each. Collected pollen from 3 flowers and hit one of my female branches. Saving the rest fo future use if needed in case I don't get more males.
Going through a battle with aphids at the moment though. Hoping to get a small harvest, but hoping more for bean production.

From a bag of N light I picked up. Been kicking around in my seed bin for a while. Figured why buy seed when I had a few kicking around. Have grown them before too, and just kept culling the males, only my third time getting a male out of around 25 seeds.
 
Hey there Budz, nice grow you have going on here. Always nice to see someone try to go against the grain as far as using MG soil. More power to you brotha. I woke up early this morning and decided to read through your journal i was wondering why you haven't tried cloning yet even though your not sure of the sex yet you could have taken a clone off each plant and throw under the 80w tubes u have to root while u figure out the sex of the plants. The only reason i could think of is that your low on cash or something and don't have soil or the means to care for them. I will be sticking around to see how this grow plays out. Right now i on my third grow first one was with hempy buckets, second with dwc (extremely fast vegging) and now the third is hempy again i am trying to do a perpetual thing. I don't have a journal or anything so don't worry about thread jacking lol, u have enough of that to worry about. But anyway i am here looking on will help where i can and i will learn from your actions in case i decide to go soil for my next grow.
 
Thanks Player! Always nice to have another subber. I actually did take 5 clones from these girls. I gave them to my room mate. We have a kind of 2 grow perpetual going on here. He is......well let's just put it this way, not so great at farming. I could tell you what he does to his girls but it would make you very sad indeed.

Anyway, I took a pic of Short & Sweet today. They hve grown a good 1/2 foot since the last one. I am still a bit concerned about the color. But, I am pretty sure the MG time released nutes have been all but leached out by now. I am going to start the Technaflora flowering regimen with next watering...
