2 days away, you shouldn't need *any* attention/help. I water once a week.
(I'm at week 8 now. only a week or two left on the Promix, MG, and FF experiment, results to follow)

i know... you're right.... but i water daily, by spraying water onto the soil...

but that wasn't the case... windows were open which dropped the temp waaaaaayyy down..... plus whatever b.s. was done that i don't know about....

man, i'm starting over.... want to finish this other setup i had planning, so i can have the sog setup that i want....you're right about the trying to save them, idea... but i was growing not under strict rules and guidelines.... which i would apply when i start my next one... i didn't keep dates, lighting schedules, didn't buy certain things that i was meaning to buy like Dolomite... so this time around, i want to start off with a clean slate and everything done properly... even my veg to flower i wasn't keeping track of....i would just let it grow till it was like on its 12th node...ha..i'm a bad daddy

i think i know what hurt my seedlings in those couple of days.... i turned on more lights and transplanted them into bigger containers.... that most likely restricted air flow and ventilation causing temps to rise to high for the little bastards.... was meaning to replenish my CO2 generator... but was gonna do it when i got back...wellllll... they got the last laugh... well, i don't think they were really laughing, because they end up laughing all the way to the grave

I have to say that I harvested more with all mg products from soil to ferts than I did with FF products but with the mg grow I added superthrive every couple of weeks all through the grow and I didn't use it as much with the FF grow but this time FF soil with some mg ferts. superthrive and FF ferts. is the best grow yet so holla at me and I'll keep you posted on the finished product the buds have fat sugar nugs got the plant leaning over had to tie it up this grow I'm a noob but I have a good set up good air flow and ventilation 400 mh soon switching to hps temp. stay at 68 to 70 degress humidity at 50% or lower lets say 40 plus I got some ww and trainwreck I'm messing with now let you know about them in June,.

Yeah... I had a few hermie balls get away on me. I had just a couple seeds on that big cola, but a bunch of the really low popcorn buds got seeded. I left those on the plant to mature the seeds, and I'm quite happy to have them. Overall, about 95% of the bud still came up sensi..

Now, to my understanding, seeds from hermies are how breeders get feminized seeds... right?

Self pollinated = hermie seeds

Hermie pollinating another female = fem seeds
(that that female should be a *strong* female, in that, it doesn't want to go hermie after light poisoning.)

Hmmm... I did some exploring and reading up after that post. Looks like true fem seeds come from chemically triggering male flowers off a female branch on the same plant.. But yeah, I can see where hermie+female increases likelihood of female..

Just to be safe, I'll be keeping any plants I grow out from these seeds in their own discrete batches. Those hermie balls are really sneaky!

Personally I love MG. Used it my first grow. Everything worked out fine. I never needed to add nutes. Each time I transplanted, enough new MG Soil was added to give me at least another month of growth with adding nutes.

Actually, I just bought some MG Organic Potting Soil. I was wondering if it would be wise to mix that with Regular 3 month feeding potting soil. (With perlite and whatnot) What do you guys think?

Sounds like it would be a good idea. I mixed my MG with some organic seed starter, which seems to be workin fine for me. I actually do add nutes though, but its something like 1/16th dose lol

I am using Mircale grow soil with 40% perlite and this is one of my plants. I have had it under cfls but I just put them under 400 watt MH bulb and I have them in a tent. at 78degrees F The center of the top growth is turning yellow or growing out yellow is this MG def? and should I just add some Dolimite lime? to the soil?The are 4 weeks old

I'm drying/curing my experiment now. I'm gonna stick with MG. The *possible* 3% extra from FF (though looking closer to a negative 3% with FF) ain't worth it in my eyes.

Even at a equal result, the 2X price for soil, then the $45 for the nutes vs soil and water (extra items like molasses and such are/were used with both soils, so that doesn't count in the compressions of costs) MG wins. (use the old worn out soil/nute depleted to start the seedlings of the next round. just give a good flush or two beforehand)

Then add in your time mixing the nutes, checking pH etc. MG can and does work just fine! (FF is over priced and over rated {but still a high quality soil!}. Though, since most newbies just *have* to add nutes, its safer, since it needs them, and the newbie is gonna add them anyways)

Don't add dolomite lime to it. Use hydrated lime (its water soluble) Use the dolomite when you mix up your soil *before* planting/transplanting. Test the run off of the mix and dial it in before planting. Let it dry out before testing again too.

The light green is odd. (for MG) If you look at it, the new growth has the 'meat' of the leaf being light in color. Go down a level or two and the meat is fine, but main veins are yellow. I'd say watch the pH of the water (and the pH of the first bit of run off) and see what happens.
