I've been reading and reading and posting and asking all over about LEDs. With summer coming, I was faced with either shutting down for 2-3 months, or buying an LED. So I bought an LED (my first one - I'm just now converting from HID to LED).

I'm really excited. This should do real nice in my ~4x4 grow closet. I've got a run of Jack Herer in there right now under a 600-watt HPS, with a couple weeks left in flowering. As soon as they're done, I'm selling all my HID equipment.

The reps at Apache Tech were great to work with over the phone. I got the R2 spectrum (recommended by them for medical growing). Total cost was about $1900 shipped to my door.

Thanks to all of you who've been kind enough to answer my questions. I really appreciate it.

Yes, I will do a grow journal soon with my new AT600. I can't wait.

I had already planned to do a group grow on another web site with a few friends. Barney's Farm Critical Kush. A short-flowering strain. We're beginning germination tomorrow. I'll do a journal on this site of that grow as well.

I asked for and received a discount code over the phone, to use when I ordered on their web site. That brought the price down to about $1950ish. Then when I complained a bit about the $150 shipping, they cut that down to $50.

The actual cost to me was about $1950.

How about the plants in this photo...apparently it works better on cannabis for 3 months than pepper bought that day for the photo...

I'm starting a grow today (soaking seeds) that will be my first LED grow. Is there a special place for LED grow journals, maybe even specific to Apache or the AT600?
