Well water question

My well water is at 360ppm with a ph of 7.4, i was suspecting of that being the cause of my seedling deformity a couple grows back when i attempted to use my well water.
 
There is not a question in that post.

If you are questioning whether your well water is appropriate, then you should get it tested at a lab. It could be high in any number of micronutrients.
 
Sorry i meant is that to high a ppm for seedlings in soil? And no reason to be a douche I wasnt asking for a analysis on my micronutrients, I forgot to state my question directly and I apologize for the misunderstanding. ive never regulated seedling ppm then I tried switching to my well water and had quite a few malfunctions.

It's not necessarily a problem is the thing. I'm sure switching back to RO would solve your problem, but so could feeding less or using a different fertilizer blend.

I honestly can't tell you if your water is the problem without seeing a lab analysis.
 
i understand that its relevent. Sorry for the post guys dont worry about it. I would know with a lab analysis weather or not it was the problem...j.s. Figured there might be some more people that have seen diformities from there well water.

I can assure you that people using well water in an agricultural application have run into big problems, not unlike yours.
 
in the end, i am going back to spring water for my seedlings.... just the right amount of stuff in the water to let small seedlings develop, but not enough to hurt the roots just forming...

My RO keeps falling short somewhere... they look shitty by the time 2nd set of true leaves form...
 
If you really want to find out if its your well water just run a controlled experiment. 4 seedlings 2 on RO water and 2 on Well water. See if you get any conclusive results.

That RO doesn't have anything in it. When I was giving distilled to young plants they would get rough leaves, turn brown and red, all from the water. Once I started using well water I haven't seen the issue since.

Obviously, that is what worked for ME. Keep in mind that micros need to be supplemented if using a stripped down H2O like RO.

You should never feed ONLY distilled water. You should always feed water that actually has dissolved fertilizers/nutrients in it.

I am with you here. I live on well water now, but have grown with Distilled, RO, and City water. I would say my best results with water, and easiest on me has been well.

Although wells can be extremely different depending upon age, and what exactly the minerals are in soil in the area. I just happen to be in an area that has amazing ground/well water.
 
Sounds like the pipes are bad. That's way above normal in both ppm and ph to my limited understanding.
My well water reaches me at 70-80 ppm, and consistently 6.3 ph raising approx .1 every hour.
 
I use well water like the OP, 350ppm, 7.5+ph. It all depends on what is in it, so results may vary. I'm lucky and mine works fine.
