I work in the HR division of an online company. I get paid three dollars less than the job I last worked for before the lay offs. My nephew gets money from SSI so he can cover his own expenses. And, no, my dad will never go into a nursing home. I couldn't do that to him.
On the bright side, he won't remember...
In all seriousness, Carne, the other poster was right about him needing 24 hr care. You have to sleep sometime, and as you have already mentioned, he could burn the house down without realizing it. Then, you could all be homeless, too. There is no shame in placing him. It is actually the responsible thing to do. Alz is a horrible disease, and can get much worse. I commend your efforts to date. Give it some thought, for your own mental health and safety, and that of your nephew. Wishing you all the best.
PS It's just a lien. If you try to sell the car, they want their money first. Take a deep breath, and do some soul searching.
