wet weight to dry weight

used to be always something between 65-75% for me which is logical since the green bud on the plant consist of about 75-80% of water and a bit salts besides the plant material and the thc
 
I usually see very close to 75% water weight in fresh buds. Seems like buds left to flower a bit longer than usual (10wks vs 8wks) lose slightly less weight in drying, but only slightly, perhaps closer to 70% water weight lost in drying.
 
Most strains are roughly 70% water. For sake of arguement we have 100g (100g water =100ml) 30% of which is solids therefore 70% liquid. Dried weed contains aprox 10% water.
So out of the 100g we already know 30g (%)is solids. (Dry) The weed is going to keep 10% moisture so Add 10 + 30=40
Therefore expect 40g for every 100g of wet weed.

As much as that might seem to make sense, average is 75% loss from standard drying, 85% from watercure. The moisture in the bud is accounted for in the 75% loss.
 
Usually 75% loss to air drying/curing and 85% to water curing...

Ex: 100 grams fresh cut, hang dry and jar = approx. 25 grams. Same 100 grams fresh cut and water cured then dried = approx. 15 grams.
 
Cut and trimmed wet, hung dry for 3 days till crispy, cut off the stems and weighed in at 85 g. How much more moisture do you think will be lost just in curing?
