I use FF for hyrdo and have been for quite and get great results without any problems. You need to use a ppm & pH meter. My roots are white and I have no gunk in my water nor does it smell badly. I think the problem goes beyond the FF nutes.

Do you think? I cleaned my hydrotron before each grow.
I am using a ph meter but i do not have a ppm meter..
And i dump my tank every week....

Hey, man if u dump ur tank every week, and u don't get sloppy with adding them then u really dont need a ppm meter, i sincerely think ur golden in that aspect!
If a store near u has a reverse osmosis machine that u can buy gallon jugs for like 50 cents a jug use that and try without tap water!( if u bring ur oun gal jugs in theres like ten cents off, or u can buy disstilled for 1.00$ a gal ur call bro. Can u show a pic of whats under ur white covers hiding hydroton?

Wanting to help u out bro!!!

i'll tell you right now i c 4 main problems imho..1 the big one grow in seperate buckets planters ect..2 your water level is too high..i keep mine 2 -3 inches below net cup creates an air zone..3 a recycling system is a pain in the ass massive ph fluctuations..dump that res/ every week and clean it with hot water b4 adding nutes and plants..4 although very good fox farm is noted for high salt content and burning plants at full strength..try 1/4 - 1/2 with those size plants..and fresh air is very important..i've been growing dwc for 7 yrs. 5 g buckets gh flora series and tap water no ppm just ph test kit and with gh nutes never used up or down either..never a prob..i go organic now..seen the light and tased the difference...

bring water level down to the bottom of net pots. it is to high. this will work if you dont you will defenently get root rot
