Hey Wassup with everyone just trying to meet some people who like to get high like myself. I am new to this and looking to become a good member in this community. I am looking to start my own grow in the next week or so. I have my seeds Chron. If you live in Cali you have to love the Chron. I will probably be posting and asking questions along this long journey but yeah Widow that post on growing helped out by just reading it and I feel a bit more confident. I hear Chron is a easy plant to grow so thats why i got that as my first grow. I have black gold soil(is this a good soil, before I plant my seeds) and I have a couple CFL some 42 . I was wondering if I have a room about 5 by3 by 7 how many plants can I get growing or should I start off with just a few. Also I have my timer and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on a good fertilizer. Also I have a small tower fan and an oreck air purifier. I was wondering if this would help keep the plants strong and the air clean, also would the air purifier keep the smell from going all around the house. All help and suggestions would be appreciated.

your soil is great. dude I was out in LA and grabbed some chronic and is was tits. good choice. you can probably get ten plants in there and when you flower, your numbers will be reduced. leaving you about five in all. alot of us like Fox Farm nutes. You are still going to have a smell issue.

Thanks for the response. I was wondering if I should go ahead and get some fox farm instead of black gold since I havent even started the germination. Also I have $250US to spend on a light and I am wondering how much light I will need to grow 10 plants. I have a few cfls but that prob wont be enough. I have left some tap water out for the past few days for my plants should it be good for the plants when I start to grow.

Fox farm, is not the soil, it's nutrients you add to the soil. Keep your black gold. The cfl's will last you through germination/veg but thats it. Once you want to grow it out get an MH light, and bud with an HP light. As for the 250, thats prob enough for a cheap HP light.

Ok would it be possible to get 2 cfl that are 200 watt becuase I get them for 75 a pop. would those be good for flowering because I am looking to be cheap but if it will harvest more with a 400 watt hp then forget it ill have to spend the money. Also where Im at is around 30-45 degrees and I am thinking about leaving the light on for 24 at first because the temp will be cold. if anyone has advice on this it would be appreciated.

just go to walmart and get your cfl's get an assload for like 20USD. you could leave the light on for 24 since it is cold that is fine. since your room is 15 sq ft, you can use a 400 HPS. here is a good spot to get one

I am going to walmart tomorow and getting some lights. I will also order from the site. Do you know how long it takes them to ship. Also I am thinking about getting reflectors and so I can do this right the first time and make sure they have all the light they need. Heres a checklist can anyone review and tell me if I may be missing something because I am starting germination tonite,

Ph balancer is it ok to use one that you would use for a pool instead of the soil one. Also I got a hydrometer is that good its digital and was 20 bucks. I dont really know what it does the hydroponics guy told me to get it. Ph balancer I forgot but cant you use vinegar and baking soda are should I go get some of the stuff from the hydroponics store. Plus I want to get a light either a 250 mh or 400 hps. Which should I get for the whole process because I can only afford one.
