What all can i do with the trimmings, what can i make from them?

Since you are talking letting the alcohol mixture COMPLETELY evaporate and then doing the razor scrape in the Pyrex dish, there should be very little if any residual ISO left behind. If you use 151 or Everclear, take care as they are even more flammable than 91% Isopropyl. As always, no sparks, open flames and for God's sakes...abosultely no heating. Unless you have a death wish!

Any heating of flammables should be thoroughly researched, I should hope.... Fume hood, preferably outdoors.... I'm just saying, the iso available here leaves behind white nasty stuff, and I never figured out what it was. Doesn't taste good either. idk, maybe its some additive to make it taste horrible in case some shitty kid tries to drink it, like they do with the sanitary alcohol gels... If you have access to THAT stuff in large quantities, you can simply stir in regular table salt and 100% ethanol (pure drinking alcohol) can be poured off the top... Its too pure to drink, though.

The way I see it, dumbasses killing themselves is a good thing for the rest of the gene pool. Its all the safety mechanisms in place that are leading the world to retardedness.

Bubble hash can be made and you dont have to worry about if what your smoking is gunna be full of shitty chemicals. Someone was saying you could use dry ice instead of ice water... I imagine that would be a very effective method.

I've heard denatured alcohol works better, but just pour enough over you trimmings/stems to saturated them, and let a fan blow on it til the alcohol evaporates. Then roll toothpicks around in the resin left at the bottom. I also heard of something about putting trimmings and ground stems over ice cubes, and putting water in and blender it til foamy, then strain the liquid into a cup and let it evaporate. (Or something along those lines)

Ok I have done this many times with stems break them up put them in a container with rubbing alcohol stick it in a dark place for a couple days you will know its ready when all the liquid is dark dark green then I take a new pie pan just because its new and there very cheap you don't want crud in you pan lol pour the rubbing alcohol in the pie pan make sure to strain out the stems put it in a well ventilated place or put a little fan by it let it sit over night when you look at it the next day all the rubbing alcohol will have evaporated leaving just a green resin ( may take a day or so longer if you o a big batch) I know this sound gross and ridiculous that what I though when I first herd about it from a buddy but he made it I tried it have done this 100 time since then lol.. put it in a bowl smoke it taste great smells great absolutely no taste or harshness from the alcohol

instead of iso alcohol try using EVERCLEAR, it is safe, in small amounts, for human consumption. it works but isn't the best. i got this polish grain alcohol that is 192 proof (96%) and I'm planning on using this. you let it soak for a month in the alcohol and than you strain, than you let it evaporate till you get a substance that you use a couple drops, by mouth, and you get the medicinal effects unlike any form of ingestion

theres so many ways to process you trim and small popcorn nugs to produce potent medicine (Hash, butter, oil, tincture, etc) IMO i think HASH or HASH OIL is the best way to refine your trim to potent thc. You may get the least back in terms of weight in product, but it is for sure the most potent. Ice bag hash or Bubble hash is the most purest form of concentrated thc it doesn't use any chemicals in the process. i only have experience making iso hash and hand pressed keif hash. both were very potent!

Here's the thing. Everclear and 151 will result in more chlorophyll in the end product. They are what we call very polar substances. Isopropanol is mostly polar. Meaning that it will pull out chlorophyll, but not as much as ethanol (151/everclear). If extracting THC and other related cannabinoids into hash AND NOT DRINKING IT (idiots. thats not what isopropanol is used for), iso is the way to go. Unless you get bubble bags or butane. THC and related cannabinoids are non-polar substances. You must use non-polar substances to extract other non-polar substances. The same goes for polar substances. Mostly polar will extract non-polar substances, but will contain the polar substances like chlorophyll, tar (very very little), and it also decarboxylizes it better than ethanol causing it to be more active. I've had some fire iso hash before. Just put it in a glass container. fill with iso. Just enough to make the trimming float. Let it sit for 30 seconds - 1 hour. Strain it into a square pyrex dish. You can do 2 things from here. Let it evaporate out by just letting it sit out and chancing iso to be in your final product, OR heating it over an electric griddle or stove. Iso boils at 181 degrees F. Turn it up a little below medium. HAVE A FAN BLOWING AT ALL TIMES OVER IT. The only reason why it would catch in fire is if 1) You heated it past it's flash point (~400 degrees F) which burns off all of the THC anyways considering the vapor point is 363. or 2) you weren't blowing away the fumes and they built up inside the pyrex dish and condensed because iso is denser than oxygen. Heat till you see all of the iso boil away. Take off. Wait till it cools. Then scrape. Any questions, just ask. I've done it probably 30 - 50 times and haven't had a problem yet.

How much trimings do you use and about how much do you get from it?
How strong is it and does it affect you like bud?

It's so simple, you only need a couple of lbs of dry ice & some trim.

This set-up is just a plastic bucket & some 100mic silk screen.
I cut the middle out of a plastic bucket lid.
Put about 1/2lb trim & a couple lbs of dry ice in the bucket, stretch the silk screen over it & snap on the lid-ring.
Shake for about 2min & turn over & sift-out all the keif. What you see on the table only took about 5min!:eyesmoke:

P.S. Then I can press it into 1gr pucks.
I use a roll of nickles & piece of plumbing pipe. I can press 5-6 pucks at a time.
Look close, you can see Jefferson's Montecello!:mrgreen:

do people only use the sugar leaves directly next to the bud or do the leaves that grow out from the stem have anything on them?

also is methanol safe to use or should i completely avoid that even if completely evaporated off

-they dont just use sugar leaves, they use anything that has THC on it, look at everything real close with a jewlers loop or a strong magnifying glass, this will make it a lot more easy to find trichomes, the little hair like things that should be coving a bud. if you look they are also on the sugar leaves and other things depending on how dank your grow is.
Use anything with trichomes on it, trichomes are pretty much the THC. They are usually will be clear white or an amber color.
-Every where i read just says to use 91% or higher iso alcohol
